Its all about styles. Floyd as much as he's overrated would be a nightmare for Arguello stylistically. Arguello was a precise puncher with serious pop so he could ko Floyd but Floyd on his A game would more than likely take him on points like he did to Marquez. Arguello doesnt have the feet and that is key against Floyd.

As for Pryor. He may be overrated in your opinion but Floyd hates aggression and there aint many as aggressive as Pryor. Pryor would want to kill Floyd. If Maidana and Castillo give Floyd problems with aggression just imagine what the far more nasty and skilled Pryor would do? It would be a slaughter.

Yeah well Pryor's swarming, high volume style is going to be difficult, but I feel Pryor lacks intelligence and when he comes forward he can be quite the open target, enough for Floyd to capitalise on. This would disrupt Pryor's usual rhythm and make Pryor apprehensive, slowing the pace down as Pryor would start to throw in bursts, only to be frustrated by Floyd's clinching and thus make him more susceptible to Floyd. It doesn't help that Pryor is not very big or strong. Pryor's footwork does not help him vs Floyd either. Floyd gets an extremely competitive 7-5 or 8-4 UD win with Pryor stealing the first couple of rounds.

People don't realise the implications of the second Mayweather fight against Maidana either. That Mayweather is laughably hard to beat. Sure, it was an ugly scenario where I can't call it a boxing match, but it was an easy fight for Mayweather. It's going to certainly take more than an Aaron Pryor to UD that guy.

They all beat Pacquiao other than Pryor.

Not bad but this actually further shows how beatable Mayweather is against a great, competent boxer. He is very predictable, lacks power, and has a low output. It shows how poor his competition has been that it took Maidana of all fighters to counter May's extremely risky "pull-counter"

Floyd moves back in straight lines and sits on the ropes too long. Pryor was quick at getting forward and great at closing the ring off. He had great punch variety which is something Floyd has not faced imo. The key factor in this fight is again Floyds lack of power and work rate. If Pryor cant stop him he sure as hell out works him to a points victory. Pryor can be sloppy so he will get countered no doubt. It wont be enough to beat him though. I dont think Floyd can negate Pryor enough on the inside to win this fight. He sits on the ropes too much and his footwork is overrated. He's not a mover like a Pep or Buchanan. He can move laterally but he seems to move back in straight lines more than he should. Pressure fighters that show him no respect can force him back to the ropes. Pryor was an expert at that. Its landing on him when you get him there thats the hard part. I think Pryor would be able to work him up and down and would find gaps in Floyds defence. Pryor was all kinds of bad ass.

Floyd would not be tagged by Pryor as he's moving back - that's never been a problem for Mayweather in the slightest, it's been a problem for Pacquiao however against Morales in particular. He can avoid the ropes a lot better and he proved that. It didnt help that Maidana is always around 160lbs when in the ring with him. Floyd would box and move till the cows come home making it a very boring fight.
Floyd will have enough power for Aaron who isn't very strong and a 140lber at the days of same day weigh ins. So the rope issue is not going to be an issue for the fight.
Pryor is unpredictable, that works to his favour though, but he fights a fight far too risky against Mayweather. I can't personally downplay the amount he can get tagged, especially by Mayweather let alone an Arguello.

 Just strategy for the fight. Mind you, Pacquiao lost to a past prime Morales.

Pryor 100% would be able to force Floyd to the ropes a lot. Even if Floyds game plan is to take control of the centre of the ring and make it a boring fight. Pryor is one of those fighters that could force his will on his opponents and make them fight his fight. If Floyd gets tagged by Maidana then he gets tagged by Pryor who is a much more skilled and aggressive fighter then Maidana. Floyd will need to be on his bike because backing against the ropes rolling and holding wont work well vs Pryor. Floyd isn't the mover people like to make him out. He has great footwork economically but he's no great evasive mover. He just looks like he is when he's fighting flat footed box punchers like Canello. Pryor would not allow Floyd to pull off that ****. He was too good at closing people down.

Here is Pryor Hearns as Ameteurs ...Anyone who doesn't think Pryor can't swarm Floyd effectively needs to watch more boxing..Pryor was very skillful at cutting off the ring and getting on the inside and withn Floyd's lack of pop he be a nightmare for Mayweather !

Just watch as he gets inside on the much physically stronger and bigger Hearns, and this was him as a kid!
