not bad at all for mayweather bringing in them numbers with such a poor undercard too guess pac should accept a 70-30 split its about his worth since floyd averages 1 million in ppv without him

35mil total purse for both plus production and promotion cost of about 12-15mil. = $47-50mil.

since distributors take half, break even ppv gross revenue to cover that is 94-100mil....

    . 925,000 ain't even close to a success.

    (1.5mil ppv buy x 65bucks = 97,500,000.00)

It's lower than I expected but it's still solid numbers. SHO won't be happy but Floyd got his guarantee. I honestly thought that because of the first fight that it would've been enough to push it over the million mark. The weak undercard hurt the numbers. Usually Golden Boy puts on a better undercard to help Floyd out. This rematch was all on Floyd's shoulders.

A cable source with knowledge of the situation said sales on DirecTV were five to 10 percent higher than Mayweather-Maidana I. AT&T's uVerse service was 20 percent up. Yahoo Sports got conflicting reports on the performance of Dish Network, with one source saying it was trending 20 percent higher and another saying it was down from Mayweather-Maidana I. The cable numbers aren't all in, but appear on par with the first fight, with some systems up and some down.

Pay-per-view numbers are down across the board. The Miguel Cotto-Sergio Martinez fight in June was well below expectations, and Manny Pacquiao's fight with Timothy Bradley in April didn't quite reach 800,000. UFC's pay-per-view numbers are down from their peak in the past.

So given everything, 925,000 for a rematch few fans called for is not bad for Mayweather.

I thought it would break a mil. Perhaps it still will. This is just an early projection. based on cable company feedback.
