Watching the PPV I thought anywhere from 114-114 to 115-113 Mayweather would be about right but wasn't sure. Re-watching it I thought it was a clear 7-5 for Floyd. I could even see 8-4 being acceptable, but not really reflecting how competitive it was.

Last time I watched it I had it a competitive 8-4/9-3 Mayweather win but my first score was a draw. My question is how do people have such close scores some even Maidana winning but somehow the rematch is a bad fight.

Floyd didn't look as effective as he has before, but Maidana was incredibly dirty and so I didn't count any of that ****. I'm a Maidana fan, but I thoroughly disliked his performance for the most part. The intentional low blows, looping shots meant for the top or back or Floyd's head, his trainer telling him to fight dirty, the muy thai knee etc. He fought like a POS and I hope the ref doesn't allow it this time around.

All that said, it sounds like he is training to throw straighter punches and avoid smothering his work which will prove highly effective. I think this fight will be much closer and I actually give Chino a fair chance to pull it off provided he does those things I just mentioned. The way he countered Floyd pull counter with his own right hand was terrific and had it landed square on the chin, there is no telling what might have happened.

    115-113 MAIDANA

The ABSOLUTE BEST CASE for Floyd is 114-114 and I'm a Floyd fan.

It was Mayweather's by a round or 2, he stole it in the championship rounds imo. A draw maybe but for me, Maidana was not good enough to take the belt(s) however you want to cut it.

I watched that one in a bar in Michigan that was full of Floyd fans. There was easily 200 people in there watching the fight on a big screen and literally everyone bar me was pulling hard for Floyd. However, not a single one of them had Floyd winning or even worthy of a draw and if by chance one or two did you never would've been able to hear them amid the deafening chorus of boo's that erupted from inside the bar when the decision was announced.

Anyone who thinks it could’ve gone either way or that Marcos Maidana won doesn’t understand how boxing is scored.

Clean punching wins rounds, not rough housing. Floyd scored the cleaner punches in the vast majority of rounds. It doesn’t matter if he was getting rabbit punched and smothered into the ropes.

8-4 PBF or 7-5 PBF at worst. PBF took over the second half of the fight.

    114-114

In the rematch Floyd proved his superiority and Maidana's fire had dimmed.

I aint gonna lie. That first fight was pretty close. I dont argue for a Maidana slim win.
The second fight he got handled.

    7-5 Maidana

Mayweather Sr knew it come the 12th, he knew Floyd needed at least a KD.

I had big money on Floyd, luckily the judges pulled me through.
