It depends, if a hated boxer gets the majority of votes by far, then it's most likely accurate. If it's 2 boxers who arent really hated then it's not really accurate.

 

So you're saying that Floyd is not hated in this poll or that Margarito is hated even more than Floyd.

 

Floyd is hated, but he got the vote so it clearly means it's accurate. No one that knows an ounce of boxing thinks Marg would have won. It's like you Mexicans thinking Chavez would have beat Floyd .

Except Floyd was 37/38 vs Maidana. About 28/29 when the Margo fight should've popped off. Not comparable.

 

I am pretty sure FLoyd is haterd WAY more than Margacheato. Which shows that this poll denotes the better fighter. That is Mayweather.

 

What you fail to realize is that this isn't a video game Margo is slow of both hand and foot with **** defense and no jab he can't out maneuver pbf in the ring. He doesn't have speed or reflexes to stay with pbf. It doesn't matter if pbf doesn't have anything to keep Margo off of him when he's getting outboxed and losing rounds dummy, on top of that pbf doesn't fade and has atg defense. There's a reason why this poll is so one sided and it's because pbf is a stylistic nightmare for Margo period.:deal

 

I really hate how Marg is still held in high esteem on here. Fans are allowed to hate on whatever fight because of their antics, but someone who endangers the lives of other fighters by putting plaster in their gloves should be universally despised.

 

An interesting point here is that Margarito was trained by robert garcia, who transformed Maidana's game enough to cause serious problems for Mayweather and obviously Broner before that. I do believe Margarito troubles floyd if he was 36 years old, if we're talking the year's people love to say he ducked him in, Mayweather beats him 8-4.

 

It is the usual Margaheato groupies and Mexicans who support that cheater.

 

These what if and who would've debates always turn into unwinning arguments. Its all opinions and we all have them dumb or not. Doesn't matter if Floyd ducked him or not or if marg cheated or not the question is who would've won prime against prime . you never know for sure but the probability is that margaritos weaknesses hadn't been exposed yet and if a past his prime mosely can paint him up then a prime mayweather wouldve done the same.

 

The reason this fight didn't happen is bc Arum wanted Floyd to sign an extension. In Arums own words Floyd would have fought Margo had Arum agreed to pay Floyd what he wanted for Hatton, Cotto and Oscar. Most people who watched boxing back then would know this.
