Why do ppl bring up Margarito like he's some great HOF fighter? He's lost to everyone he's faced above bum level. Santos,Williams, Mosley,Pacquiao,Cotto II and a slew of no name's as well. He has exactly one win to write home about in possibly cheating in the 1st Cotto fight.

The fact is he called out Floyd, got told keep winning an we'll fight,lost the fight he was signed to and didn't do anything notable til after he retired and processed to lose and be disgraced 6 months later.

How many times do I have to tell you that Margo's work rate will be cut in half against PBF. #48 threw 1000 punches against Clottey but was held to a career low work rate against PBF.:deal Do you think Margo will just throw punches to be throwing them? This is real life not a video game, PBF won't be there for him to get off. He will not corner PBF he can not stay with PBF in the middle of the ring he's a plodder. Since when did Margo have ATG footwork and footspeed he will get outmaneuvered that's a given he's too slow of foot. He won't be able to track him down and will get hit more than PBF gets hit. Thus his work rate will be lowered and he will lose going away.

Lastly Pea Whitaker beat a much better and more complete educated pressure fighter in JCC. JCC was an educated pressure fighter who used a jab subtle defense and head movement cut the ring and went to the body. Margo is light years worse than JCC in skill you're right It was bad I'm giving Margo too much credit here, he's no where on JCC's level but PBF is equal to Pea, which makes it worse for Margo.:deal

 

He's a lot better than you're giving him credit for. The losses to Santos and Williams were close but Margarito has some very solid wins over the likes,Sergio Martinez, Cintron, Cotto and Clottey.

 

Lets put this post in perspective...

1... The only fights Margarito legitimately lost since a teenager were to Williams & Pacquaio

2... Byth Santos fights were stoppages caused by Santos blatantly head butting & causing serious cuts. The referee totally ignored the blatant butts Santos should have been DQ'dboth times
3... The Mosely fight was a travesty. You didn't have to be a rocket scientist to see Mosely was roided to the gills AGAIN!!!!Add to that the fact a blatant lie when a POS claimed PLASTER BLOCKS fell out of his wraps got into his head. He was already sick & weight drained to boot
3... Cotto didn't beat him the NY doc did . Margarito's eye was done by round two due to Cotto targeting it & illegally lacing it at every opportunity. But the doc didn't stop the fight until Cotto started to wilt AGAIN & Margarito was beating his chest at Cotto. Only then did the NY doc decide to stop the fight
not to save Margarito's eye but to save Cotto the embarrassment of QUITTING ON HIS KNEES AGAIN!!!!

A 100% Maqrgarito would have blasted Steroid Mosely out & made Cotto Quit on his knees again Also ask Manny Pacquaio who gave him his toughest fight & hit him the hardest & he'll tell you Margarito did. Don't forget the Oac fight was after a nearly 2 year lay off forced on Margarito too
