it would be hit and hold all night long from floyd. Cotto outboxed margo in his prime but lost becasuse he doen't hold when margo gets in close. Floyd would land a straight right then grab on. It would be painfully onesided. Margo doesnt have one punch power to even give him a punchers chance. Plus a tko isn't out the question as floyd's confidence grows in the later rounds and he starts hammering home that right hand.
if you can move laterally, you don't need to margo moves like pac-man (the game) up, left, down, right....90 degrees turns ftw
true, but i think Cotto's punches is stronger the floyd. Plus floyd will not put anything on his punches to be more elusive. Which Margarito have no respect and have more pressure then he did for Cotto which would promp Floyd to fight more in a shell.
soooo? what is your point....margo is so slow and so wide i think floyd could actually stand in the center of the ring in his shell and not take a serious shot from margo all night
Common floyd fans respends. "Come on it's floyds how can he lose". If thats true then he would have took the fight before rather then Baldo for less money.
Point is. Margarito 2006 would have been landing on Floyd's sholder, arms, anything he can touch. One or two punches land I think he hurts floyd. It will be like the punch that Mosley landed but with a guy that will not tire after the third round.
atsch A: margo for 8 mil (minus arum's cut) + less for every fight after + no guarantee of a fight with ODLH (via arum) or B: buy yourself out of arum's **** contract, baldo for 8 mil (the same as the margo fight) + more for hatton, and get the ODLH fight (can you spell $ + exposure)? i think B seems like it makes more sense
yes, he would be hitting floyd's shoulders and arms....and hitting air, and doing no damage no, tony doesn't have and didn't have one punch ko power....he is and always has been a volume puncher mosley clearly hit and still hits harder than tony, and floyd took several of those, and then also clearly adjusted AND, margo doesn't really have a big banging overhand right (the shot that mosley hit floyd with) mosley has fast hands....tony does not...tony is known for his uppercut, a slow punch, that also leaves you wide open for....guess what, counters....and um, who is a counter puncher?
Just ring generalship and skills can see you to an easy UD. Which is what this fight would have been.
Mayweather would shut Margarito out. Cotto was tooling Tony but ran out of gas..... Mayweather doesn't hit as hard as Cotto but has superior footwork, stamina and defence. Floyd could either use his upper body movement or his legs to make Margarito miss.
