Oscar got boxed by pac and never pinned pac to the ropes. Margo trapped and pinned pac several times. Oscar trapped and pinned floyd so many times, hence the split dec. Margo tko a fast and mobile boxer martinez. To say floyd wins easy is sniffing floyds balls to get a ***** high.

 

the margo-sergio was ages ago, and sergio was quite green....sergio of that fight compared to floyd of 2006...come on man

 

look at that clean left to the body that Oscar lands. And you can bet top dollar Margo wouldn't buckle like that when Floyd hits him

 

Just a point for discussion. Is the margo manny fought a better fighter than the baldo floyd fought. Both had a massive weight advantage over the number 1 fighters? Baldo just looked mentally tired at the end but margo had his face smashed. Then again pacquiao also took more leather in the process.

 

Williams forced the fight by becoming his mandatory. Or Margarito would have had to have his belt stripped.

 

Margarito was the WBO WW champ since 2001 and beat Daniel Santos for the vacant belt to become that champ. If he really wanted big fights with big names then he would have looked to become there mandatories. Going after a vacant belt vs a weak WW. Then defending it vs average comp for the next 4yrs does not make him come off as a guy who was chasing big fights. More like a guy Arum was looking to build up bs hype around.

He got his hype though after they used Mayweather's name to build it up. But he had to be able to back that hype up. So he went to the plaster.

 

The WBC is one of the most desired belts. If he was looking for comp then he should have and would have went after the WBC.

 

Agree with most of this, except Santos, Margo fought Santos at 154 and got his ass kicked. :yep

 

Here we see Floyd staggering an Oscar at 154 who was bigger, stronger and faster than Margarito could ever hope to be.
