Who cares if its a tune-up or not ... it must be a tune up if Floyd is going to fight this guy after being inactive for 18+ months.

He's a credible opponent who can put Mayweather back on PPV ... and help Mayweather shake off some ring rust.

Marquez gains nothing from this fight. Win or lose.

are you crazy? a win for marquez would be ****ing HUGE. i know there will be whispers from floyd fans talking about ring rust but a win against mayweather- one of the most talented boxers of this generation will be career defining for marquez. hes also moving up at least 2 weightclasses

Hold on your saying that Marquez gains nothing from being the first to defeat the former p4p champion.:rofl What are you smoking and can I have some:smoke?

Marquez stands to gain something win or lose ... if he wins, he gave Mayweather his first loss, if he loses - then he gets 1 up on Pacquiao and is still rated top 5 p4p.

Compare beating a faded DLH or losing to an undefeated former p4p king ... he stands to get respect ... more respect than Pacquiao gets for beating DLH in my book.

I knew Pac was going to win by stoppage ... there wasn't a doubt in my mind ... DLH was shot to peices.

Mayweather is a ****. He could've fought ANYONE from 140 to 154, and he chooses a career featherweight because he's highly ranked and poses absolutely no threat. Yeah JMM called him out... just like anyone else from the division Mayweather belongs. Pathetic. What's next, Calzaghe coming back vs. Cotto, Hatton fighting Juan Manuel Lopez, Klitschko fighting Bernard Hopkins?

JMM doesn't have the defence in place to beat PBF. And when you don't have that defence, the only, only chance you have is to pressure the **** outta him effectively like JLC did, and I can't see Marquez doing that.

He's also not got the greatest chin, and at 147 even if it's Mayweather the puches are heavy, and there gonna be accurate and quick and sharp.

Or actually bring on PBF vs Bradley thats a perfect tuneup fight with 2 titles on the line to boot

Bradley deserves the payday and PBF deserves a solid but not elite opponent to see where he stands at 140
