Floyd has 39 fights.....27 of those being @ 130. He isn't necessarily that much bigger than JMM (if at all) and he definitely isn't being a bully by entertaining this fight.

p.s. JMM CALLED HIM OUT on national television!!!

Floyd's move to 147 from 140 was to target DLH at 154 and he publicly admitted that. I didn't see anyone cry unfair when DLH agreed to fight him and had a long list of advantages in the contract Mayweather signed without bothering to read. Now because it seems to be in Mayweather's favor it's all unfair?

Marquez wants the fight and asked for it, now he's getting a response and backing off. Only a while ago when Marquez won people were yelling "NO WAY MAYWEATHER FIGHTS HIM OR PACQUIAO", when it's getting real I see people running with excuses like "He should fight Mosley, Cotto or Williams".

Mosley already admitted that his main target is a man that beat him in Cotto, Cotto is coming back from a loss to a proven cheater and Williams just fought at 160, plans to stay there or even move up to 168.

Marquez stated before in one of his interviews he is willing to fight Manny even in heavyweight. lol. Why not "stopover" now and fight Mayweather at 147. He called the man anyway.

yeah. this fight should happen @ 144 at the lowest. mayweather hasn't fought @140 for four years now and is coming off a 2-year layoff. as a result, i don't really think he can make 140 anymore or if he does try, he may probably be somewhat weight-drained and that will certainly affect his performance. and yes, it was jmm who actually called him out. so, jmm should agree to mayweather's terms to fight either @147 or @144 if they agree to meet halfway.

in the event of a pac-mayweather fight, i think pac may even agree to fight @147. but i certainly prefer that they fight @ around 144 too.

Heres the difference. That was ODH.. ODH is not Floyd. Floyd is the BEST p4p boxer. ODH is not. Floyd can go up and fight an ODH and it be even b/c he is Floyd. JMM is not better than Floyd. Him moving up to fight is a waste of time and to fight a GREAT fighter at a disadvantage is just plain ******ed. No matter how you slice it, it is ******ed.

He's the one that asked for it, can't really blame Floyd or anyone else but Marquez.

He called the man out and got a response, simple as that. We're not really sure if the response is even true because so far only one site is providing information and no disrespect to that site but I haven't found any other site confirming it either.

I knew it. Mayweather wants to fight Marquez. This proves he does not want a challenge. I knew he would pick Marquez because he does everything better than him and Marquez is the smaller fighter. Mayweather is not a great fighter. Why can't Floyd fight anyone great? He doesn't have confidence in his skills.

If this is indeed true, then there better not be any floyd fan out there that can possibly respect this decision based on the idea of "x fighter doesn't have a big enough name" for Floyd to fight. Marquez's name won't sell as much as a FLoyd vs P williams or Floyd vs Cotto, or Floyd vs Mosley.

All that crap about fighters not deserving to be in the ring with floyd b/c of box office appeal will be completely out the window if this fight is made.

Pretty weak move by Floyd.....right out of DLH's playbook. Never wanted this fight to happen anyway, JMM just too small.

Scar, when 99% of the Floyd fans were claiming Floyd can still make 140, why didn't you ask them how they know or if THEY were haters?

Theres a pattern evolving here....Gayweather wants to fight lighter fighters or fighters past their prime.

Man up Gayweather and fight a legitimate welterweight in the top 5.
