i was hoping for pac first but this will make the floyd vs pac fighter twice as big if floyd beats marquez convincingly.

No date has been set. They are still waiting on Floyd's medical condition.

Back on the topic, winning on mexican independent day does not make it any better or worst. This is one of the dumbest thread.

It's still a handpicked opponent, I still think this is only a warm up fight for Floyd, Marquez doesn't pose ANY threat to Floyd.
One of the easiest fights to pick this year.

Going from some JMM interviews, he was actually quite disappointed that the fight was being postponed. he sais his training regiment was on schedule to peak on July 18th and that now he would have to cool down his training regiment so that he doesn't overtrain.

JMM is the best fghter Floyd will have ever faced so there is no question about this being only a warm up fight, it isn't

Marquez is not easy, even if he does not usually fight at that weight.

Your right...the only reason so many people watch PBF is they hope he loses. Pac cant beat PBF unless they fight at 140. I love Marquez but this fight is goin to be tough for him. I want Floyd to get spanked bad and I know Shane can do it. To bad PBF is allergic to real Welterweights he only likes to fight the cheap imitations--no offense intended to Manny or Juan Ma

the reality is marquez drew once and loss once to pac. hatton is not shot before he fought pac and only a hater or a fool would think that way. and he seemed to lost his punch resistance because he just let pac hit his face. and lastly, no way floyd would he #1 p4p if he beats the smaller marquez but marquez has a case if he beats floyd.
