In other countries like Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. But in the good ol' USA, no way not at this time. Its not the peoples fault. Boxing has been screwing fans for a long time with these PPVs. Its time they actually gave back. This theater showing is a good start.

 

I agree, PPV is a crock, but it makes you wonder, true the boxing fans (IMO) are getting screwed, by having to pay $34.99 (for the lower level ones) and up

but that just makes me ask, if PPV is such a rip off, and the powers at HBO don't like it, then why is it still one of the most popular methods of showing fights?

guessing it comes down to $$$ ..and in that case, the fighters+promoters get a bigger chunk of the profit by the event being PPV ... although at the same time PPV does cut down and limit potential customers.

agreed on the theater idea, im planning to go, and if all else fails and the event turns out a dud

at least I didn't have to pay $49.95 and got out of the house.

It's not a bad idea. Rumor is they are doing this due to lack of sales and interest, but it's still a good idea. Just needs to happen more.

 

they got tons of bars that show em in Vegas. All the cops are on the strip when boxing matches especially a floyd mayweather fight is going on. Nobody has manpower to enforce what bars are showing.

honestly, have you ever watched a movie in a predominantly black theater? At least with the mexicans, i'll be able to hear the fight.

 

:nono sometimes mexican movie goers make a conscious effort to annoy everyone in the theater. Blacks just don't know any better and always make a big ol ruckus.

 

I've been to movies theaters with both predominantly black and Hispanic crowds. BOTH were too ****in loud.

It would be funny if they show the "Silence is Golden" message they typically show before a movie before the PPV.
