I think realism has just set in after the weigh-in. I shall still be nuthugging JMM but the magnitude of the task now seems huge. He had so much stuff on and still weighed 'only' 142:conf.

He was wearing trainers that gave him an inch to a least an inch and a half, to Floyd's socks.

    An obvious tactic.

Floyd looks in great shape, he got a crazy 6 pack.

Like his Reebok tracky nice, Looks like Floyd got a deal with Reebok all his team were wearing Team Mayweather on the back of their Reebok tops, reminds me of a another fighter?

this is bull****, wasn't the contracted weight 144?

now it looks like floyd failed to make weight and will pay marquez off for each pound

its definately a ***** move by pbf.
Its bad enough that JMM only weighs 142 but coming in 2 lbs overweight is just a joke

Thing is, 144 was only ever something I heard on forums. I only ever heard JMM and PBF say they were fighting at welterweight. Either way, the difference is huge when you consider how much stuff JMM was wearing as well.

That was the first thing I thought when they announced he'd weighed in at 146

Maybe it was wrongly reported as 144, although I'm pretty sure I'd seen that in a number of places - unless I'm getting mixed up with the Pac/Cotto catchweight

    :think

JMM wanted to come in light and stay closer to his natural weight to retain his speed, and movement, 147 is to high of a weight for JMM to jump to.

according to dan rafael at espn.com the mayweather renegotiated the weight limit last night and paid marquez compensation.

although, marquez and dlh looked pissed off and mayweather looked shocked.

The gap on fight night is going to be way more than 4lbs. Marquez is not going to put on any weight, he's reached a bottle neck. Mayweather will probably be 150.

not true. mayweather barley puts on 2lbs after weigh ins. marquez has said in interviews he weighs 146+ on fight night when fighting at 135 so he will be around there or higher.

Interesting to see Floyd Senior still wearing his Hatton gear on 24/7 though!

I don't know what people were expecting - both have came in at weights I expected, i.e Mayweather heavier than JMM.

    Yeah sure.

That's why Mayweather couldn't get his ass down to 144lbs right? Because it was so easy for him. Bull****, it was obviously too much like hard work and he'll come in fresh and rehydrated tomorrow.
