Mayweather vs Marquez = Whitaker vs Chavez

    Alright here's a comparison to ponder.

    Both catch-weight fights at welter, both fighting for p4p supremacy. Both Marquez and Chavez weighed in at 142, Mayweather 146 and Whitaker 145 (both probably put on some weight after the weigh in)

    I think Marquez is better received on the forum so it was obvious to people he was ballooned up for the fight and came in with no physical advantages. The same could be said of Chavez, he has a crap record at 147, never won a title there, and was at the tail end of his career.

    So is public perception willing to ease up on Chavez? I'll let you decide! :hi:
