Why isn't there more talk of this being a possible match up? Mayweather agreed to fight Del La Hoya at 154 and I this is probably close to his walk around weight anyway. I think Martinez is not a large middleweight fighter and feel this match up is not a stretch

Although I find it funny they say he is too big for pacman even though margarito is bigger, I agree pacman should not be fighting guys this big. Buy mayweather on the other hand I feel can handle this just fine.

    Thoughts?

Martinez would be my pick. Fast, tricky, strong, a lefty and bigger. He has every advantage.

It's a nice tough fight for Floyd. It might happen sooner than you think.
I see him fighting Khan next then Martinez afterwards. There's really no one else

    1. Ortiz
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Martinez

    Floyd's "To Do" list.

Agreed, not looking past Ortiz but was just curious why this isn't talked about more.

I think mayweather would give martinez all he can handle but could see Sergio taking this one possibly.

You don't think Sergio has enough skills to land some good power shots on mayweather? If he did Floyd would be in big trouble.

This fight would be more competitive than a Floyd/Manny fight. But I'd still think Floyd would win a UD. Depending on how Floyd looks Sat. will determine if this would even be considered a possible future matchup.

That's why I think the Ortiz fight is just as much tuning up for Martinez as it is for Pac.

i agree, ortiz is actually a pretty big guy and im surprised he hasn't moved up before now. good test to see how floyd would handle someone a little bigger with good power

very true, i think i would be more interested in the martinez fight honestly.

i am not a pacman hater but i do not let him slide and call him a all time great fighter ignoring that he gets matched up very light and seriously could possibly be in ped's. I respect floyds skills but personally do not care for him as a person and I think he would box pacman to death.

martinez would be a much more competitive fight which floyd could possibly loose for real.
