    1. Also, Which of the 2 has a better chance of beating Floyd?
    2. Which fight do you think happens 1st?
    3. Do you think jumping up and down in weight to get these fights at this stage in Floyd's career spell doom for him the way it did for Roy Jones?

any of the two will do and i think they have equal chances. floyd can comfortably operate in the 147 to 154 range.

  3. If Sergio was a welterweight, they'd both beat him. Floyd can beat him at 154. Pac's too small for 154.

Pacquiao is an easy style match up for Floyd.
I watched Pacquiao get a gift decision with a blown up Marquez and JMM is a poor man's Mayweather.

Martinez at 154-160 is a much harder fight for Floyd.

So your saying Pac would lose to Sergio at 150 and above...let's not forget that Sergio said he'd come down to 150 to fight Manny...Pacquiao then changed his mind and said he'd have to go to 147.

Throws punches off of dropping the backfoot.

Waits for opponents to make mistakes then counters.

Uses defense to make opponent miss.

    Footwork is very technical.

Right hands are straight and to the point (see end of round 5 jmm-pac 3).

Floyd does it much faster though.

    Mayweather vs Martinez

    1. Martinez
    2. Martinez
    3. No. I doubt he will weigh more than 152 against Cotto and that was not why Roy Jones got KOed.

    Why do you ask?

Regardless of wether they are similar or not...It's JMM skills and technicalities that busted Manny up and made him look very amatuer. Floyd has a lot more boxing skill than JMM.

Oh and JMM feints a lot which makes Manny very patient, which is not his fight game. Floyd feints better than JMM.

    **** thread

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is the obvious answer
Pac clearly has the better chance
as for what will happen first, who gives a ****
before you compare mayweather and jones weight change, think about the difference (do you see mayweather gaining and losing 30-40 pounds like Jones)

    1. Also, Which of the 2 has a better chance of beating Floyd? Martinez has the better chance at beating Mayweather at 160. He's a more cautious boxer than Pacquiao and we have never seen Mayweather at 160.
    2. Which fight do you think happens 1st? Mayweater/Martinez. First off Martinez is more willing to fight Mayweather at 154 or 160 than Pacquiao has been. Next is we are not likely to see Mayweather fight at 147 again and Pacquiao won't go past 147.
    3. Do you think jumping up and down in weight to get these fights at this stage in Floyd's career spell doom for him the way it did for Roy Jones? In the long run yes I do think it is going to hurt him. I don't think that is going to happen. I expect Mayweather to weigh in at 150 for the Cotto fight. His jail time is going to have an impact on his weight. He might have all the time to do pushups and sit ups in his cell, but he's not going to have all the free time he wants to do conditioning and to make sure he stays near 147. He'll likely be a ringing 154 champion when he's relesed. I understand he has to serve a minamum of 2 months of a three month setance. I think Mayweather will stay at 154.

Martinez. He's a thinking counter puncher which helps him utilize his southpaw stance to the fullest.

remember how well Castillo did? He's not smarter than Floyd, but he defly wasn't ringtarded in that fight. emmanuel anit like that at all.
