:happy Mosely would test Floyd greater than Manny Pac would - my own personal belief. Styles make fights, etc. And the fact that Mayweather clearly has a bit of fear of facing Mosley - knows he is a real threat.
Just one issue bothering me: After the Manny Pac fight fell through how dare Mosely push into the front of the queue to fight **** head Mayweather: We all know it was Matthew Hatton who was next in line nut:nut
Also, on 'excuses', I have already laid out the gameplan for Floyd to win, exploit Mosleys lack of movement and outmanouever him, being judicious with his punches and landing the cleaner punches. I just think Mosley can win with his workrate, effective pressure and own speedy jab to set up combos which might only glance off Floyd but will catch the eye of the Vegas judges. I'm not a hater as some may purport me to be; just a realist. Floyd is NOT a top 50 ATG, not at the moment anyway. If he beats Mosley then Manny and retires, I'd have no worries putting him in the top 30 fighters of all time. He would've proved his skillset then, which at the moment consists of B-level (Corrales, Castillo, Judah) washed up fighters (De La Hoya, and no I don't consider that one of Pacs best wins either) or smaller men (Hatton); basically, people that can't test him as much as the fighters who Floyd skipped over. Put it this way, Mayweather ain't the one who's being avoided.
Mayweather is a ***** Hagler Hearns Ray Robinson Ray Lenoard etc etc Real all time great fighters Floyd for all his talent - has not shown true greatness - like those guys did. He avoids people for a start -
Roy Jones Jnr in his prime - - - - - - way better fighter than Mayweather. De La Hoya beat Mayweather in my book.
yeah because although Roy took some easier touches than Floyd even, he did beat Toney and (just before purple patch) Hopkins, as well as fighting an old but still decent (judging by his performances against Toney) McCallum. And wiped out Virgil Hill, who had some decent reigns at light heavy.
Lets not forget the small matter of becoming the first middle to heavy champ in over 100 years. Ok - it was a paper heavyweight champ - Lennox Lewis was the real champ. But he beat the man - who David Haye faces next. And Jones beat him 7 years ago.
If Mosley is anything close to what he was a year ago this will be Floyds hardest fight to date, all depends on what the layoff has done to Shane. I reckon Floyd will take most of the early rounds with Mosley finding it tough to figure him out but he will start landing and hitting PBF harder than hes ever been hit before. I predict a controversial SD win for Floyd. Great fight :happy
How much should we look into the Floyd-Judah fight? There were a few moments in the first few rounds where Floyd looked uncomfortable. Mosely's not a southpaw but he's got speed and better ring smarts than Zab.
Zab is a very fast fighter who always starts quick but I didnt think Floyd was in trouble at any point. He did touchdown with a glove though but it was more because Zab rushed him rather than hurt him. Shane is a great fighter but Floyd will be too good for him. Shane always looks good against guys like Marg (comeforward fighters) but he has always had most trouble against boxers. Floyd on points written all over it
Mosley has a great tactician in his corner, and let's not forget Floyd flapping it when confronted with Mosley before. I won't believe it's signed until I see pictures from a press conference.
