    Inside sources tell me its not good which is one of the reasons he is so careful. Personally I feel its average-to-good.

    Actually Floyd surprised me against Shane, with holding his ground even though he had been hurt by Shane. Not something I expected to see.

    I hoped that Shane could bring it like in the 2nd, but Floyd kinda outclassed him whether he was going back or standing toe-to-toe.

    I think he has an okay chin. Maybe pretty good. Nothing great, but certainly better than his uncle's chin. He has such a good defense that it's a little hard to judge, it's not like he takes sustained punishment in there or takes a lot of clean shots.

    He's been hit good a few other times before too and took it fine.

    Oscar tagged him with a few decent shots.

    I remember him walking right through a famous Zab Judah left uppercut that landed right on the button.

    Against Oscar it was more straight, predictable shots and jabs though, but you're right he's ben hit before like Corley, Castillo and Zab etc.

    The point is that many posters degraded Floyds chin after the Mosley fight which I really don't understand seeing as he was hit flush with a punch he couldn't really see coming as you pointed out.

    maybe it's cause I overrate Shanes power, the Margo fight could be misleading it's hard to tell.

    Mayweather took hard punches from the devision's best puncher and almost got knocked at least down if not out. Almost is not the same as getting knocked down or out.
    Being that Mayweather dose not often get hit. It is hard to tell what kind of chin he has. I think in 41 fights he has been knocked down officialy once, and unofficialy twice. Neither time was he serously hurt.
    Despite his lack of experance of being hurt. He knew exatly what to do. Hang on to Mosley intell he regained his strength. It was just as much his ring IQ as it was his chin that got him through the round.

    I think its because people hate Floyd, and he's the best. When you're the best, people will try to set all these ridiculous standards for you.

    Some guys would have taken those exact same shots from Mosley, and wouldn't have buckled and been wobbled like FMJ, and some guys would have taken those shots and would have gotten knocked out...

    ...FMJ, who doesn't get hit cleanly with big shots all that often, has proved that he has at the very least - a decent chin.
