I honestly will go to my deathbed without ever understanding how getting spaghetti legs from single shots and having to hold on to survive means you have proved you have an iron chin. I do not understand this at all. Wayne McCullough got hit by huge, flush shots over and over and over, and never even blinked. To me that is iron, not clutching to your opponent's arm like some dying orphan, while your legs are trying to breakdance like MC Hammer.

He has a great chin. Most fighters would have hit the floor in the 2nd round of the Mosely fight. He was rocked twice by big shots and by the end of the round had his bearings in tact.

  3. Martinez hits harder than mosley does.
Floyd has a chin not a great but very good , of course his defense combined with his good chin makes him untouchable

Well we will probably find out how good floyds chin is compared to another fighter who has also move up in weight. You can bet your ass that mosley will hit pacquiao more than once with that right hand.

  5. the same can be said about the vast majority of fighters. floyds fought some very good boxers and he s never been knocked down. his chin is very sturdy to say the least.

Margo took those early right hands well, but just took too many. Floyd took the same shots early but they clearly had a bigger effect , the second one floyds legs dipped and almost dropped him.

Margo is one dimentional , Floyd on the other hand is exceptional and didnt put himself in that position again.

Floyd has always had a good chin , I tend to see fighters take shots better when they keep their weight close to their fighting weight .

Floyd has a solid chin.he want really hurt by mosley but after mosley would land a big punch he would get all excited start jumping into Floyd and when Floyd would grab he would try to fling him off. All of that comotion made it look like Floyd was more hurt than he really was. Floyd was walking Mosley down within10 secs of the punch thabuckled his legs.

floyd never gives ground to shane and proceeds to dominate and embarrass him....

Floyd got hit while his hands were down. As we know he was trying to block Mosley's jab. He couldn't brace himself for the punch because when it was about to land it was to late. Floyd has a good chin but not iron. Also Cotto never got hit by Shane Mosley the way Floyd did.

floyd is one tough fighter to beat, not only do you have to close him down, but when you do you then have to be smart because he's so defensively good. to make it even worse, floyd also has a very good chin.

someone like pacquiao might give him problems because pacquiao is so relentless, but then on the other hand, floyd might just have too good of a defense for pacquiao, and then also picks the holes in pacquiao's not so great of a defense.

Margo is widely regarded as having one of the best chins in boxing and he was knocked down twice by Shane and was hurt a couple of times by a much smaller man in Pacquiao with shots to the head.

These guys are human and just because you are hurt does not mean that you don't have a great chin.

Mayweather has proven that his chin is solid many times over his career. Debatable whether or not it should be considered "iron" but whatever, his defense will likely prevent us from ever knowing.

Even if he were to be stopped by Pacquiao it would be ridiculous to say that he has a glass jaw after the career that he has had.

I believe there's more validity to a claim like Haye throwing his fight than Shane.
