This decade is only 23 days old so I'm inclined to agree at this point

Mosley is good, but he's not on Floyd's level, no one is.

Technically, 2010 is the last year of the decade. This decade spans from 2001-2010. Most people don't take into account that there was no year 0. This means that the first year of the first decade began in year 1 and ended in year 10.:yep

actually a decade is just a span of 10 years. 1993 to 2002 would be a decade as well. When we talk about decades as in the 80s, 90s, 2000s, etc, its from 0 to 9. But if you wanna talk about the 201st decade, then its 2001-2010.

A decade spans 10 years, but THIS decade started in 2001. So when you say it's the best matchup of the decade, then you're refering to the current decade which began in 2001. The best matchup in the last decade would be just the last 10 years. The best matchup of the 00's would be from 2000-2009.

No it did not. There was no year 0. Therefore, the very first decade began in the year 1 and ended in the year 10. Every subsequest decade would've had to follow suit. Most people get that messed up. The decade, as well as the century and the millinium, began in 2001 and not 2000.

If I was born in 1980, would I officially be a child of the seventies?

You're mixing up your terms. 1980 took place during the 198th decade which took place from 1971-1980. The 70's doesn't refer to the 198th decade but rather from 1970-1979. I was born in 1983. We were both born in the 80's. However, we were born in two different decades. You were born in the 198th decade, I was born in the 199th decade. Do you see the difference?
