I have a legitimate question regarding Saturday's match-up. I'll say this before hand: I want Shane to whip Floyd's ass. I think Floyd is a punk, fake-ass, hipocrite, diva. His presence in the game is detrimental to boxing. Now that you have read that, you have no reason to read further if you are a fan of his. I don't need your "witty" comments. Now to my point. Boxing doesn't need exorbitant paydays, mouthy superstars, and hand-picked fights. Floyd's supporters claim that all will say that Shane was "too old" or "past his prime" when the two fight, or more accurately, after "Money" outclasses Shane. Ummm, I hate to **** on your parade, but people evidently are saying it now. So will Floyd get any credit? I don't know since everyone is picking him to win this bout, hands down. So my ultimate question (as you have read in the thread) is this a legitimate super-fight, or another FM vs JMM waiting in the wings? Based on all the pre-fight analysis, hypothetical scenarios, and whatever logic people use to make their respective picks, this fight is predetermined. I even read one poster use the term "doom" when referring to Shane's fate. Does he even have a chance?
Floyd/Pac is a superfight. He has a puncher's chance but he cannot win a decision. A draw is the best he could do. Floyd wins.
It is much like Hopkins vs Roy Jones, a fight that's been built for many years. Fortunately for us, these two both have a lot left to give to the sport of boxing. Looking forward to it, anyone who passes up on this fight is not a boxing fan.
It is the CURRENT number 2 pound for pound guy vs the number 3 pound for pound guy. So if this is not a superfight then I guess there is not such thing as a superfight. Both are headed for the hall of fame. Both were once regarded as the best in the sport, some believe Mayweather still is...need I go on.
this isnt a marquez debacle, no one is moving up in 2 weight classes and I hope no one comes in overweight(floyd) but welterweight has been shane's best weight class. This will turn out to be one hell of a fight and don't be surprised if shane wins, the dude has 39 KOs out of 45 wins.
It the Real Deal. Anyone thinking different is kidding themselves. Mosley in my opinion has a better chance at winning this fight than Dela Hoya did. He is in better shape and also Floyd has had one fight in 3 years in where he had to come in overweight because he was worried about a blown up Super Feather (Even though PBF won easy) that to me isnt exactly taking on and beating the best Welter i feel out there right now. Mosley is a dangerous dangerous fight because i dont know if many people have been watching 24/7 which isnt much to go by. Every episode all Mayweather can talk about is Money or how much he is getting, Where Mosley wants this for Legacy to be remembered. That to me says many things. It Sahne Mosley is going to get in there and give PBF the fight of his ****ing life. And to think any different is dumb. PBF might win but it isnt going to be a one sided walk in the Park.
If you Don't get hyped for this fight your not a boxing fan the skilled gifted slick undefeated fighter vs the nice guy hero with relentless heart and determination even if shane was 50 this is still floyds toughest test to date
definately a superfight and probably the hardest fight of floyd career apart from maybe castillo in their first fight.
This fights numbers will have as much to do with Golden Boy's brilliant promotion as with the two guys fighting in the main event. Oscar and his aunt's hubby Bob Schaffer know how to sell boxing.
