Lets make it happen ... find some common ground ... give the guy 15m + gate + ppv revenue ... put an awesome undercard on and lets get it on.

    Who wins?

I think it could be an event depending on where it is ... I'm sure these guys can bring some fans to and help promote the PPV event.

Like I said Mayweather is not coming back until 1 or 2 things happen, if Hatton beats Pacman or Berto gets his first loss. He is going to let the natural bigger WW beat up on each other if he evens considering coming back. But to answer your question I Mayweather has not done nothing in the WW division and he just does not have the power to hold an undefeated record against the natural bigger guys, but I like him against Mosley 7 rds to 5.

It's close to fiscally impossible to give Floyd 15 mil, give Shane something equally substantial and STILL have the money to promote it actively and put on an awesome undercard. There's a reason fights like The World Awaits, Pac/ODLH and Hatton/PBF had weak undercards.

His is retire period. If and when he comes back, the we can talk. The more fighters and fans keep calling him out and talking about him, the more of a legend he is telling anyone that listens. Maybe if everyone shut him down by not mentioning him anymore, then possibly he will come back. Love his talent, but if he chooses to never come back.....

Everyone is calling out Mayweather. ****, even Marquez did last night. Mayweather is done. His legacy is based off his resume, and regardless of what his most ardent fans suggest, that's what history is going to remember.

Like I said, there is probably a guy somewhere in Texas or California or wherever that has more tallent and potential than any fighter in history, but he's not fighting anyone.

Does that make him the best by default? Is he the greatest of all time?

I don't think so. You have to earn respect and earn a legacy. You can't do it by openly disrespecting current and former fighters without testing yourself in the ring.

It's true in every facet of life.

I think Mosley actually has a good chance of over powering and dominating Mayweather the way Oscar almost did. Too bad Floyd will never take the chance of fighting him.

I would LOVE Mayweather v Mosley to happen, I think it would be a classic. Mayweather's resume could badly do with a marquee name and a top quality welterweight, and Mosley certainly fits that description. Mayweather would probably outbox Shane and earn an SD or MD, but I say that with very little confidence. Unlike most Floyd fans, I don't see what they have seen in his performances at welterweight to make them think this would be an easy win for PBF. Wins over Baldomir, Judah, Mitchell and the ww version of Hatton, and an unimpressive SD against a past-prime Oscar at 154 do not prove to me that Floyd is anywhere near as good at those weights as he was when he spanked Corrales at 130. I think Mosley's stunning power, awesome strength, lightning handspeed, granite chin and excellent inside work would give Floyd a horrible night. It would be the toughest challenge of Mayweather's career. If he won, it would go a long way to justifying his fans' sky-high opinions of him.

I agreee. It would be good for this to happen.

However, I think that Mayweather Jr. will wait for the dust to settle in the welterweight division as Cotto and Mosley first need to go head to head to determine who is really the man at welterweight. Also, a win for Hatton against Pacquiao will tarnish the need to fight the current #1 and #2 pound for pound fighters as Hatton has already been badly beaten by him and Marquez, although in controversial fashion, has lost to Pacquiao twice. On the other hand, Mayweather has already been inactive for over a year and a longer layoff with his age will provoke great risks to losing his 0 and status as the pound for pound fighter of this decade. Money talks and I'm sure if the proper scenerios play out, he will come back. Hopefully against Cotto or Mosley as I think Hatton, Pacquiao, and Marquez are too small for him and he will dominate them.
