Monzon was a cold calculated killing machine in the ring and I promise you Mayweather has never seen the likes of a Monzon. I wouldn't be surprised if Monzon beat him up at the press conference to announce the fight.
You are the one who dragged in exhibition fights with youtubers. Stick to Mayweather's actual record. Monzon never faced a slickster of Mayweather's class. Monzon had height and reach, but beyond that he was a very conventional fighter. He wasn't awkward or unorthodox. Mayweather had issues with relentless pressure fighters, not backfoot jab-cross merchants.
Seriously? LOL! You brought up a fighter looking idiotic in the ring. Then I “dragged in”?? a widely publicised, PPV exhibition BOXING “match” in which Mayweather did look IDIOTIC in the lead up to and in the ring with You Tuber Paul. I mean, god forbid that I actually remained on SUBJECT - looking like an IDIOT in the realm of boxing. Like, Monzon’s private life was an equal and opposite response - NOT. Happy to rag on other fighters I see but ironically sensitive on Floyd’s behalf, eh? Gotcha. Gotcha hat!
They are sold because Monzon will keep the pressure on all the way to the finish. When Floyd goes into survival mode he won't stand off him and be content for an easy decision he will keep the heat on him and work on getting him out of there. He's got a full arsenal even if some of the punches look a bit awkward at times. He will also play the bully and still be punching hard and often at the final bell. The likely result over 15 for me is a Monzon stoppage.
Quite true John, Floyd did have trouble with Oscar De La Hoya, who pressured him, kept him on the ropes.
True, but hits a lot harder, Monzon's sparring partner's did not like to spar with him, they said he hit too hard. Carlos did cut off the ring on movers, he made them exchange with them, Bouttier and Licata for example.
Floyd soils himself during the Refs instructions & has to return to his dressing room for a change of underpants. After 30 minutes an official is sent to find out what the hold up is. The official walks into an empty dressing room to find a note stuck to the mirror that simply says......Hard work & dedication.
It is not an insane question considering in rting weight & Floyd's defensive wizardry. Still it is hard to see a likely route to victory for him. Wide UD.
