Mayweather vs a young tough south paw who is relentless for 12 rounds. Perfect fight for both fighters. If mayweather wins he is that more ready for pac, if Ortiz wins he enters the boxing stratosphere for boxing fame. I hope this rumor is substantiated and we get to see this fight. 10x's better than the idea of a berto/mayweather fight.
the man just quit a fight against a guy who couldn't put away a man who had no business fighting lets get real stop playing ****ing games
yeah but mosley is a legend, mayweather had his work cut out for him in putting anyone away, let alone a mosley. And Mosley did give his all for 3 rounds.
I know, I just didn't care so I changed the subject. I watched that fight live, I heard Maidana's punches landing on Ortiz.
And maidana almost beat Khan prior to barely eeking out a victory vs the greatest mexican boxer of all time, Erik Morales.
It's a good tuneup, in that Mayweather can safely carry Ortiz for 12 to get rid of some of the cobwebs having sat out a year, whilst also getting a look at a lefty who throws alot of punches. As far as it being a competitive fight, hell no. Ortiz is tailor made for Mayweather's counter punching.
Its as good a fight as can be made if Floyd aint fighting Manny or Sergio. Ortiz is basically the consensus #2 or 3 at WW right now, after Manny and maybe after Mosley (not counting Floyd).
When's the last time you saw Mayweather shine vs a south paw? Mr. never won a big fight in his life Judah? Who actually rocked floyd?
So if floyd fought amir khan would you say he got knocked out by prescott? If floyd fought pac would you say he got knocked out by torrecampo? Fact is ortiz just beat an undefeated lion in berto, and is a WW champion. He is also now ranked number 2 at WW. He also is a southpaw, something people say floyd can't handle to well. He also has knock out power. This fight makes a lot of sense.
The Ortiz I saw against Berto has ZERO chance against Floyd and will get punished with counters. This better be just a tuneup for Pac and not just an idea to steal a quick 20 mill and retire again
Ortiz would get outclassed. Floyd needs to fight pac, enough excuses. He doesnt need a tune up. He fought last year, and came back and fought the "number 2" after 2 years off. A tuneup is just another word for excuse, and he's not going to fight Pacquiao anyway .
It's a decent fight, nothing special. Anything other than Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting each other (or Martinez) is worthy of criticism and complaining.
Alright, you morons win. I forgot that the general forum was for cheerleading ***gots. Thank god that only took a couple of posts to sink in. later, ******s.
