    Lets just say this

Ortiz will be more dangerous than Hatton. So im happy this fight is happening, its certainly MILES better than fighting Spadafora or Matthew Hatton

I think this would make for a good fight... Even though ortiz is only 24, he has the speed and he applies the pressure to give floyd a fight.

you're the one trying to hype ortiz as a legitimate threat after one win against an unimpressive and unproven berto, going down twice in the process and was on the verge of being stopped in the 6th. you're the one sucking ****, ******

Luke is right... people need to be more objective! So because ortiz was knocked down by berto he has no right to share a ring with the great floyd mayweather!? :patsch Berto has a punch and ortiz goes balls to the wall .. yes he gets caught sometimes!

What ,so you want Floyd to keep ducking Pac and goin after 'tune-ups'? First of all I doubt this fight is happening. It's a decent fight , but why the **** would you go after Ortiz when you can fight Pacquiao? That's all I'm saying .
But it's a decent fight. Ortiz is a young strong southpaw and he could give Mayweather a few problems , you happy?

when i was watching berto-ortiz, i watched it objectively and throughout it and after it i couldn't see any of them having a chance against either pac or mayweather. they're in another league. opinion on this board was about the same, no one was talking up ortiz fighting pac or mayweather after his win, because it was a given he'd be outclassed. now all-of-a-sudden he's a threat? gimme a break. and i'm not against this fight, if you go back i was probably the first poster here to mention mayweather fighting ortiz, that was before the berto fight. it's a good tuneup, nothing more.

You don't think your boy and his overlord Mastuh Arum are at last partly responsible for the fight not coming off? You really buy everything Manny, his team, and that slimeball Arum say about agreeing to all cutoffs? Nobody really knows what's going on with negotiations, I'm pretty sure both sides are equally at fault with their primma donna egos.

As for what's actually in front of us: I see Manny fighting a guy who Floyd just handed a beat down to. I see Floyd fighting a decent fighter, nothing special there either. I don't see why *******s feel the need to call Mayweather out for this though, when their boy is fighting a guy who Mayweather just came close to stopping. There's no allure there, when Floyd fought Shane, Shane was the man at Welter, now Shane's looked like **** two fights straight. IMO, Pacfans ned to stfu at the moment. You disagree with anything I just said?

it's the biggest money fight available, mayweather is retired and will probably want to fight a tuneup if he comes back. what are you trying to say, pac is ducking ortiz? man, i said this would happen before berto-ortiz aswell, ****ing ludicrous

I agree, may and pac are on a different level! The bottom line is for some reason pacquiao and mayweather are not able to reach an agreement and fight eachother... So they have to fight the ortiz's and the mosleys of the world.. I think victor deserves the shot.. He went up to 147 and beat the champ.. Do I think victor will win? NO... could he fight an entertaining fight and pose a few problems for mayweather? Yes, Atleast I think so.

I never know when Luke is actually serious but I do think it's as good a non-Pac fight as you can get at welter for Floyd.

hey, no disrespect to ortiz, he's worked his way back, is a good fighter in his own right, has a win over a top 5 welter and is now rated #2, so on paper he deserves the fight. it's just pac and mayweather are ATGs, still in their primes. it would not be much of a competitive fight imo. If it happens, it happens, I'll still watch. I'm resigned to Mayweather-Pac not happening anyway
