What if Floyd takes Ortiz lightly and gets ko'd ala' Roy Jones Jr. against Tarver. I know this is HIGHLY UNLIKELY but what if? What would it do to the boxing world and Floyds ego? We saw how Roy was still in the dressing room after the fight with his head between his legs after the ko. Keep in mind Ortiz is very athletic and has a HUGE chip still on his shoulder. He is game but honestly I think once again Floyds skills will pay the bills. Thoughts?
Thats what I said about Roy, that bein said Roy had every flaw that would let him down the second he lost his uncanny reflexes and speed. Floyd has every tool to succeed when the natural god given gifts fade, and a beard to match thus far.
I feel very intrigued by this fight. I think it canbe rough at times for floyd. But I think floyd gets this one
Floyd won't take anyone lightly. EVER. Doesn't matter who they are. Think about it; He brought JMM up to 145 and still came in heavy to make sure he had even more of an advantage, as if he already didn't.
I can see Floyd getting "Roy Jones'd " but I dont think Ortiz is the fighter to do it. He's too green and his skills are B-level. But who knows, anything can happen.
If Ortiz wins I think Floyd's ego gets irreparably damaged, and he's goes home and cries himself too sleep. His career goes down hill from there ala Roy Jones.
People may hate the man but he is one of the hardest working fighters in the game when it comes to training. He will never take a fight lightly and he will not lose to Ortiz.
If that happens, he will go home and cry and be consoled by either 50 cents or Ellerbe. But I would see many new alts after. And people don't understand "WHAT IF" by keeping on saying "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN." The IQ in ESB is really going down, down.......down.
Normaly I'd play along with the what if's and it would normaly bother me when others did not play along as well. However, The one ganturee about Mayweather is that when he dose fight he takes it very seioursly. This makes playing along very diffcult.
Floyd talks a lot of trash but his dedication to the sport is unreal bro' he wouldnt take a match w/ Bob Arum lightly :deal
