Too much money for it not to happen. Not the easiest guys to negotiate with but HBO and all other outer parties would be willing to comprimise like what happened with Pacquiao-Hatton.

Too much money to say no....

Pacquiao has not called out Mayweather. When asked who do you want to fight next he said "Ask my promoter"

When Marquez, Judah, Hatton, Baldomir, Gatti, Corrales were asked who do you want to fight next they all said "Floyd Mayweather" not ask my promoter.

How can you say Mayweather is being foreced into taking a fight he clearly wants. Manny is the whole reason he came out of retirement, all of a sudden then is a mega fight for him, after Hatton there was not.

I think your forgetting that Pacquiao, or at least his team are notoriously difficult to negotiate with. The demanded the extra 2% for the Hatton fight, remember it almost fell through. They also demanded more money for the De La Hoya fight.

Well they weren't exactly wrong to demand the extra 2% from Hatton given how shite he was.

It'll be the biggest shock to me in a long time if this doesn't happen. You could be looking at over 2 million PPV buys in the US alone. This is huge money, Pac knows it, Floyd knows it and they will remain as cagey as possible with regards calling each other out.

If Mayweather calls out Pac, he looks like the one chasing the fight and he doesn't want that because Pac can then sit at the table and say "well, you called me out bud, so I deserve more" and the same thing is true in reverse. This is pretty obvious.

That's the one thing standing in the way here ... ego. Both thinking they deserve a bigger slice of the pie and I can see the point from both sides. If they just decide on a 50/50 split then this fight will get made quick.

Mayweather isn't afraid of Pacquiao so forget that idea and Pac aint afraid of no man.

    Yes.

This is up there with the best fights ever. Best offensive fighter in the world vs best defensive fighter. 2 multi weight champions, 2 awesome fighters, p4p number 1 v p4p number 2, the winner will be p4p number 1. 2 of the best coaches in the world. The bad guy vs the good guy. 2 amazing boxers going at it. This will be the biggest fight in my lifetime and will do the biggest ppv numbers ever. If either man backs out there career will have a big black mark on it.

    This fight has to happen.

Why the **** are people going on about this, using it as a stick to bash Mayweather with ? THIS FIGHT WILL DEFINITELY 100% HAPPEN
Oddschecker have these odds by the way

    Mayweather 8/13
    Pacquiao 8/5

Mayweather clear favourite it seems with the bookies.

I honestly think with the right promotion this could do 1 million PPV buys in the UK alone. If Haye V Valuev can sell 1M (and surely most of those were in the UK) then this can.

It's huge. Outrageously, terrifyingly huge. The potential for this fight, in the modern era, is mindblowing. I even think with the right promotion they could sell out Wembley with it.
