Apparently you dont understand the bottom line. If you think the bottom line is that its boxing then you're wrong. If it were only about boxing then the fight wouldnt be as big, you would only get the same ppv numbers you usually do and it would be an ordinary night with 2 great fighters. One thing you have to understand is that not everyone who will be watching is a boxing fan, they'll have their own reasons for watching and like it or not, 1 angle to the fight is about good and evil. A part of the reason the fight is important is because it will give boxing a much needed exposure. You think Floyd is better for the sport and you're entitled to your opinion, there are several others who beg to disagree and their entitlled to theirs.

You criticize Manny and call him a phony, but all you have are assumptions. You assume he's a fake and question his faith. Yeah he has sinned and to his credit he's trying change, its been awhile since he's converted to Christianity and up til now he's still keeping at it. Is he really doing it? I dont know but I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Sounds to me you're a bit jaded for what reason only you know. The funny thing is you say you hate liars and you ASSUME Manny is lying but you back a convicted felon. This is an honest question, does it bother you that more people like Manny and give him more credit than they do Floyd?

I wont pretend there are those out there that don't want to see a black man succeed, but you could also say the same for filipinos and other asians, Indian, Latino or any other minority in this country, it's a sad and ugly truth but, I don't think its applicable this situation. Do you really believe the reason Floyd doesnt get as much support and is disliked is because he's black? I hate to break it to you buy Floyds problem isnt his skin color, its his personality. If Floyd were white he would receive the same criticism and hate. Ali, an American Black man, himself is rooting for Manny not because he thinks he will win but he believes in what he stands for (Despite the press release from Ali's camp that denies him making a choice his daughter maintains that Ali is rooting for Manny and the press release was put out so as not to hurt anyone's feelings).

I can respect that opinion because there is a lot of truth in what you wrote; however, I have to disagree with you on a few things. I believe if Floyd were white, he would be treated differently. Think about it: a dominating, undefeated American white boxer who beats everyone in front of him, on the cusp of one of the most prestigious records in boxing, runs his own promotional company, etc. The press would be different and the support would be different. Add to that the fact that most of his opponents are non-whites and he's conquered all of them. You don't think the white American press would eat that up? (All respect to Zags but he's not close to Floyd's level, let's be real). To take it a step further, I don't even think he would have been incarcerated for the domestic violence charge in 2012.

We also have to factor in the cultural influences. We as Black people love Hip-Hop. That culture doesn't sit well with a lot of white people. Just ask my man who got shot in the car at the gas station for having his music too loud. And the list goes on...

You used the words "the same criticism and hate..." That is a hard scenario to fathom, honestly, when we're comparing hate and criticism toward a white man and a Black man. It's historically fallacious. Especially in the land of the free and home of the brave. Even for the president...but that's a whole other discussion.

Ali is entitled to his opinion. So what? A Black man is pulling for Manny. That's great. Doesn't do away with the facts. Ali can tell you that better than anyone. He's still called a racist to this day for his views back when he was a brash, ass-whupping youngster.

Again, I can see some of your points and there is some truth to it but
I must disagree with it from an overall standpoint.
