Mayweather vs Pacquiao and Reach?

This will be a big factor, Floyd controls range very well and will pick off and counter Manny all night..

 

It will be beneficial for him but the Manny is not so easy opponent for Floyd. The fight will be very tough and memorable for boxing fans.

 

Yes. Floyd finally gets to fight a smaller guy. It's going to make a world of difference.

 

Mayweather's reach is overrated because he doesn't use it. His 72 inch reach is due to the width of his body but most of the time he doesn't really commit body to his throws so he doesn't get his full reach.

 

Lets see what comes ahead, Floyd's reach or Pacquiao's ability to step in and close the distance.

I will say though Manny is in a pretty tough spot and he better time his lunges well. He's taking on a guy who's arguably the best counterpuncher in the game and just waits on guys to come in on him.

Manny also has clear disadvantages against Mayweather as far as his inside game (where Floyd is just a much better inside fighter than him,) and also fighting Floyd from a distance (where floyd could just outbox him.) He has to be in that perfect zone where he can jump into that target zone, nail Mayweather and jump right out of the pocket. Unfortunately i can't see him getting into that target zone too often without getting countered back with some accurate shots.

If Manny doens't time in his lunges accurately, he'll never get a chance to throw those 4-5 punch flurries. When he gets nailed flushed, he always going into a reset mode.
