If you're taking fighters word for it in regards to weight then surely you have to take into account Mayweather saying he couldn't put any weight on after the Mosley weigh in despite eating 3 times? I'm not sure what you mean with that.:huh
:think Maybe on second review, he'll be slighly heavier. Let's go with 150. But the physical advantage does lie with Floyd clearly. He'll be at his optimum weight for sure, whereas Pac won't. Like I've mentioned in my previous post, Pac has to force himself to come to the 147 division. Naturally he belongs down at 135/140, as I've heard Roach and Ariza say he can make 135 easily.
floyd doesn't cut much weight, if any, for his weigh-ins...and the pac is smaller argument is very overstated and overplayed
no, i am basing it on what they looked like and what the fighter said is just additional info. it is believable that jmm weigh-in at 148 that night since he was around 142 at weigh-in. so you mean floyd weighed almost the same as jmm that night? what i meant with my previous comment was that your weight during weigh-in has something to do with your fight night weight if you are natural to the weight you are fighting. it means most boxers normally drain to a certain weight and fight at a much higher weight. pac is now not on his natural weight that is why we could not see him gain more pounds after weigh-in. floyd before was in the same light when he went to welter years ago. but now he is a fully developed welter and more probably is gaining pounds unlike years before. but we would never know cause he never let his fight night weight be taken.
pac has already reached his limit. at welter he is already eating insane amounts of food not just to drain when training. i would be surprised if he would be fighting above 150 where his speed would suffer imo. just below 15 is his optimum fight night weight and there is no need to change this.
we'll never know until we see them standing next to eachother. It's hard to judge from pictures and video.
I don't completely disagree with this. But statements like such intensely undermine the respectful skills of Bradley, Alexander, and Khan. While it's true, they haven't proven themselves as much as Pac, I believe they have what it takes to be elites when you consider their skill sets they bring to the table. I think people are too quick to assume Pac would destroy these guys since he's been on a mean winning streak. But I can clearly see that he hasn't beaten a slick boxer in his prime at 140 or above. All of the aforementioned guys at 140 have superb boxing skills and great speed. It's a shame none of them will likely get the chance to prove themselves against Pac but I don't think it's outlandish to say they are underdogs with a decent chance to pull off an upset. Keep in mind there was once upon a time when Pac was a tad below the surface where these guys are currently at. All he needed was a chance against a guy like Barrera to hit it big.
I can already see all the *******s saying "Floyd defeated Manny because he was so much bigger." and "If Manny was the same size as Floyd." He would've won." atsch
Floyd will be installed as the favorite and is expected to win the fight. Pacquiao being the underdog is expected to lose. But this is boxing and amazing things happened specially in a Pacquiao fight.
