Mayweather vs Pacquiao - PPV comparison question

all valid points and what's amazing is that pac's numbers are close to what floyd is making. actually, if you compare all their PPV against common opponents when they are on A-side, the average are almost the same.

 

*****s act like Floyd is the PPV king but it's no secret that Floyd need big Mexican name on his undercards to fight on a Mexican Holiday to boost his sale. If PAC was to fight on Cinco De Mayo with Canelo on his undercard I bet he would push pass 1.5 PPV.

No what is amazing is floyd is a defensive fighter and classed as boring yet he is the most watched athlete in boxing

 

I think floyd know if he took the 45/45 with 10 to the winner deal he would win however he's still having to agree to a split before the fight which must hurt his ego. It's nothin to do with being scared of losing. Hate it or love it floyd is the p4p king he deserves the lions share, it's nothing to do with winning or losing, I'm sure mentally floyd thinks he could beat a klistchko, u gotta think ur invincible to get to his level

 

I would say it doesn't matter,Pac is the "darling" of the boxing world. More people like Pac than Floyd,Floyd has a lot more people that hate him.. The thing is they pay to see him lose just as his fans pay to see him win.. You guys are just silly as hell getting mad because one man does more ppv buys,keep making excuses..

 

William Lara and Cloud Campillo and pac jmm 3 and whitaker chavez are perfect examples of why it should not be 45-45-10 to the winner...60/40 for Floyd. He making $50,000,000 with Cotto. Manny has a high of $25,000,000.

At 45-45-10 to the winner, Floyd will make $5,000,000 less his high payday if he loses and only $5,000,000 his high payday if he wins. Manny will be guarantee'd to make $20,000,000 his high payay if he loses, and $30,000,000 his high payday if he wins.

This isn't even tying into the fact that Floyd does more PPV buys than Manny in common opponents, and he does alot more revenue in common opponents.

Pac takes his $40,000,000 and Floyd gets a 0 guarantee but all PPV profits, which would come to approx. $60,000,000-$65,000,000. So Pac would make $15,000,000 more his highest payday, and Floyd would make $15,000,000 more his highest payday.

Thats if they split a total of $100,000,000-$105,000,000. Oscar and Floyd ended up splitting a total of $79,000,000, though only $46,000,000 of that was from the revenue. Oscar had a guarantee of $23,300,000, while Floyd was guarantee'd $10,000,000. The revenue came out to $136,000,000 approx and the fighters shared approx. 1/3 of that revenue. This fight will probably do more like $185,000,000 (approx), and Floyd would end up with around $60,000,000-$65,000,000.

 

Actually Top Rank's undercards has been better. They got more young face first brawlers.

The Floyd fights less is a very valid point. It creates more of an urge to see him.

When he retired and came back to fight marquez. it was a mismatch, we knew that. but we all bought it cos we missed him.

Same if manny retired for 18 months. We'd be excited when he came back.

Oh sorry forgot to mention. I'm a neutral too by the way.
