:patsch Of course they are numbnuts. Promoters use whatever they can to gain leverage. Welcome to boxing noob. Trying paying attention to actual fights, rather then purses like a chick. :good

    you mad huh? :rofl

OK..so if they are, then there's no arguing about it.:good

So looking at the five common opponents:

SO IN 5 COMMON OPPONENTS LET'S LOOK AT IT-

    Hatton vs

    FM 920K ($47M, $10.39M gate)

    MP 850K ($45M, $8.83M gate)

    Cotto vs

    FM 1.5M ($94M, $12M gate)

    MP 1.25M ($70M, $8.85M gate)

    Marquez vs

    FM 1.05M ($52M, $6.81M gate)

    MP 1.45M ($74M, $11.65M gate)

    Mosley vs

    FM 1.4M ($78.0M, $11.03M gate)

    MP 1.15M ($71M, $8.88M gate)

    De La Hoya vs

    FM 2.4 (137.8M, $19M gate)

    MP 1.25 (70.5, $14.4 gate)

So in FIVE COMMON OPPONENTS the volume and average is as follows-

    Floyd Mayweather

    7,225,000 PPV Buys

    1,445,000 Average

    Manny Pacquiao

    5,900,000 Total PPV buys

    1,118,000 Average

Now go do the revenue Lance. It gets worse there for Manny...don't forget about the past paydays..gets even worse there for Manny.:good:hi:

now thats a little better.. Now i dont know how actual those stats are, but I'll bite..

im guessing thats the total gross income? right.. do you know what each company spent in promotions and such, or how much the rest of the card brought home in comparison..

manny Pac gets a lot of free promtions which is why they dont need to spend as much.. he gets booked for talk shows before every fight as well as new commercials from different sponsors as the time a big fight arises... This helps both sides as they know Pac is being talked and though about alot before the big fight, so it brings their company extra attention.. as well as bringing top Rank free promotions for their fight.. i dont see Flloyd getting this same exposure unless you include world star hiphop, or twitter..

Floyd also does a lot of fights in theatres which in turn take home more than half of that side.. GBP also does alot more touring and such which is big bucks every time out, as well as alot more commercials.. while Pac is headlining 24/7s on CNN...

So do you know the net as well as the Gross.. Or is this just take home, and which credible sources have you gotten your numbers???

My numbers come from numerous articles that were put out by ESPN, NYTimes, and they all cite HBO as confirming this etc etc...

Pacquiao Bradley is not being talked about as Mayweather Cotto was. Not even close.

To relate the only bigger fight than Mayweather Cotto (terms of revenue), De La Hoya Mayweather ended up in $137,800,000 in revenue.

Of that $137,800,000 in revenue, Oscar took $29,500,000 for his share and Floyd received $16,200,000.

Oscar's guarantee was $23,300,000 and Floyd had a guarantee of $10,000,000. Oscar ended up with $52,800,000 and Floyd took a payday of $26,200,000, thus they split $79,000,000, with $137,800,000 and 2,400,000 buys. Of the $79,000,000 only $46,000,000 came with the revenue profits (1/3).

We can logically assume that Floyd and Manny end up with 3,000,000 PPV buys and they would split $105,000,000. $40,000,000 would go to Manny and Floyd would get the other $65,000,000...however, We can also logically assume that the fight does $195,000,000 in revenue, which is $58,000,000 more than De La Hoya Mayweather. 1/3 of that (as Oscar and Floyd took a 3rd) would be $65,000,000.

In regards to the source on the Mayweather Cotto revenue, if you were a fulll time boxing fan you would know what they pulled in..why are you asking for a source on this when it's common knowledge among boxing fans, that Mayweather Cotto did $94,000,000.

To add-if Floyd took a payday of $65,000,000 he would make $15,000,000 more than his high payday of $50,000,000. Manny took a payday of $40,000,000, he would make $15,000,000 more than his high payday of $25,000,000 and we have a very fair deal.

Lol.. You keep bringing up gross numbers and fights that have nothing to do with todays marketability..

Why do you say Floyd brings home x amount of dollars when it's really what her gets before he pays everyone else? Floyd spends much more on marketing than Pac will ever need to as well as paying more for undercards..

Your argument suits your needs so you feel thee need to repeat it when five years ago had no bearing on today...

Current facts are in their last fight it was 1.5 to 1.4!!! What was the Mosley and Ortiz numbers, I'm sure they are neck and neck as well...

All that matters is today and what they bring to the table st this moment in time.. Not five years ago or five years from now.. Think about this from an unbiased point of view.. You don't receive the same pay at your job with five years in as you did with one year in..

CURRENT WORTH BUDDY... FIGURE IT OUT...

Mosley was crapper and fans were less interested in him, for Floyd fight some thought he might have a chance the way destroyed Margarito, Going into pac fight he was coming off a one sided loss to Mayweather and a draw to mora

He's also the same dude who was so amazed that an elite athlete like floyd could run a 6:22/mile not realizing that an orfinary fit person can run that pace.

Can't figure what's up with that guy...just joined and the way he goes all out to justify Floyd getting 63-37 split or whatever he thinks he deserves, reading such baloney makes me think he could be Floyd texting it all from 50 Cent's bedside..or maybe Ellerbe

    he's averaging about 700 posts a month.

Absolutely mental. And there all really long. He homestly cares soooo much that floyd get a higher percentage.

You'd think he'd be getting a cut of it himself.
