Floyd at lightweight was pretty exceptional in every area. He was never much of a combination puncher though. I can't remember the last time he put 3 punches together. These days he seems to have moved away from being a slick boxer to a potshot artist, like a past-prime Roy Jones. He's fallen in love with his own speed and ability to hit guys without setting up punches with the jab. That's going to bite him in the ass one day. He' still got immense speed and agility though, and most guys simply can't keep up with him. But we saw in 2 rounds what kind of problems a younger, faster Shane Mosley would have given Floyd.
LMFAO....OK..U WILL FIND THAT MOST TRAINERS/MEDIA/CASUAL/HARDCORE BOXING FANS WILL NOT AGREE WITH YOU..UR ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION BUT U HAVE ALMOST NOTHING TO BACK U WHEN U SAY "JMM IS A better technical puncher than floyd":huh YOUR ALSO GOING TO LOSE ALOT OF CREDIBILTY IN YOUR POSTS WITH STATEMENTS LIKE THAT AS WELL...:deal
im not saying it as a fan of floyd..im tellin u floyd is better technically than both jmm and pac.. U really dont know ur sh1t do u..i mean i watch football and im not gonna tell u that drew brees has better mechanics than peyton manning but he is damn good and beat peyton in the sb...same for pac-mayweather...just cuz u like manny dont mean his skills are better....u really dont know much about the sport (from a "technical" standpoint) do u..i mean just the fact that u think an argument could be made that jmm is a better puncher techniclly tells me u dont know to much..ur very ignorant when it comes to technical boxing gander..
see ndou and sosa..he put togeather combinations in both fights..especially with ndou who was very dangerous at the time
I don't think that at all. I just don't think, recently, he's proved that. People are saying he adjusted against Mosleybut I think he just started slow, as he often does. It's like Abraham -He doesn't adjust either, it's just his style to start slow and up his work rate after 4.
Listen to the post-fight press conference. Naazim kept talking about how well Floyd adjusted. Mosley kept saying how Mayweather adjusted. Mayweather was talking about how he adjusted.
Overall, good posting here, Jack. I'm tentatively expecting Pacquiao to win this at the moment, though I need to look over some of his fights again and have a bit of a think before I make a real prediction.
There was achange in his style but I think that was just the way Mayweather prefers it. He likes to see what his opponent has, before turning it on himself. If they call that great adjustment, fine, I just don't. Same as Abraham, as I said.
PAC is 10 times the fighter Judah is, I wouldn't be suprised if PAC could outsprint usain bolt..... For a very certain reason!
atsch You sure can tell how dumb one can be..You hate a fighter so much you basically have to make **** up to present your point!
