Never cared for the fight myself...
Mosley Vs. Mayweather is the best WW fight.

if they fight after beating their next opponent, then the fight will beat records when regarding economics, but as a boxing fan, i don't think it'll reach the scale of leonard-hearns, or ali-frazier one. it'll be huge though. biggest fight in over 20 years in my opinion, beating all of tyson's fights.

it'll be bigger than that. with this fight, if they both win, then you got the two best boxers on the planet at the top of their game. also they're two of the biggest draws in boxing right now. financially it'll beat tyson vs holyfield, and also it'll be more anticipated aswell.

I disagree, Tyson's star power alone doubled both Pac & Mayweather (Current) in popularity around the world at the time.

i know all about tyson's popularity, but don't underestimate the magnitude of this fight, because trust me it's going to be ****ing huge if they win their next fight, which i'm really hoping they both do. this fight will be the biggest fight in boxing for maybe a few decades, if not more, so make the most of it. it'll be huge with two of the current biggest stars in boxing, at the top of their game, and it might do more than 3 million sells on PPV. it's going to be HUGE.. bigger than tyson and holyfield.

Since Lewis-Tyson. This might do better numbers, but I the general public would have cared more about that one I think.

I suspect the people who think this will be bigger don't remember just how huge that one was.

The answer depends on what we mean by the word "biggest"? The most entertaining? The most profitable? The most followed world-wide?

Personally I would say that the reason why it's going to be the biggest fight in 20 years is the quality of the boxers. The only fight which comes close is the Chavez-Whitaker fight, but I think Pac is better than Chavez and May is better than Whitaker, slightly though. I think it is the biggest event since Hagler-Leonard.

it'll take some thick ****s a few years after the fight to realise how big it actually was. personally, i think it's obvious that pacquiao-floyd right now would be huge, bigger than any tyson fight, bigger than any oscar fight, but obviously it'll take some people longer to realise that. we probably won't get a fightof this sort of magnitude for a couple of decades, if not longer. you don't normally get two great boxers, who are also the two biggest stars currently in boxing at the top of their game ducking it out, that's quite rare. hopefully it happens, and hopefully they both win their next fights.
