Porous might have been overstating it but he was certainly hittable. You need a very particular style to beat Floyd though. Ideally, you would have a good jab (à la Castillo and Oscar), throw from awkward angles (Pac and Maidana), and be able to outbox and counter Floyd to keep him from dictating to you. Most of the guys who gave Floyd problems had very good feint games and were very awkward to deal with. Pryor just doesn't have enough of these traits, he has a couple like his volume and pressure, but he was just not the same caliber as Floyd and I think would be too one-dimensional to avoid Floyd figuring him out. You can't just walk straight towards Floyd throwing haymakers without getting potshot, countered, and tied up. I just struggle see Pryor winning this fight.
Maidana came close to beating Mayweather just by being aggressive and throwing alot of punches something Pryor excelled at and did even better. Yes Mayweathet was a bit past his prime but I don't think Mayweather has ever met an offensive machine quite like Pryor before. And whilst Mayweather did have significant power at the lower weightclasses once he moved up to 140/147 his power was no where near as apparent. Arguello was an ATG puncher and he couldn't halt Pryor's offence I don't see Mayweather's power bothering Pryor. All in all I can see an argument for both fighters but Pryor would make Mayweather very uncomfortable with his workrate and aggression.
I just think your really missing alot of what made Pryor so good. He's not as simple and one dimensional as you make him out to be
We’ll have to agree to disagree - though not on Mayweather’s power at 140. You can only be so hittable against the guy & expect to win, by which I would say, not very. He couldn’t miss Pryor IMO.
