i just watched an interview with pbf where he said the people he would have liked to fight most would be whittaker and aron pryor.if he did fight pryor at 140 who do you think would win?i think pryor was relentless and wins by late stoppage or points

i was happy to see floyd mentioning pryor because he doesn't get the credit he deserves. pryor was a phenomenal light welterweight, i think he was the best ever at that weight class. i think pryor vs floyd wold have been an incredible fight, and i would go for pryor via close decision.

tough fight to call and Alexis gave Pryor all he could handle...Ill take Floyd by UD!1 I know Pryor was a beast and relentless but Floyd can box and he's a great defensive fighter...

The thing with Pyor is he steps off the line when he punches, he does not stay infront of you when he is unloading, he switches that attack and goes to body and head very well, he can punch, he is also one of the best finishers in Boxing along with SRL.

He can be slick to, albeit he has been down on more than 1/2 occasions. That is more to do with fighting with his chin up in the air, but on the whole he uses excellent upperbody movement to avoid punches.

I think Mayweather realizes that laying on the ropes with Pryor would not work because of how Pryor steps off the line and attacks from angles. Mayweather tried to stay inside with Castillo and it proved to be a mistake, so i dont think he would stand infront of a much much better fighter like Pryor who probably hits harder and is fast of hand and foot. Im not looking for an arguement when i bring up Castillo im just pointing out how difficult he made it for Mayweather on the inside. Mayweather Boxed striclty from long range in the rematch, its one of the reasons he was able to beat Castillo so convincingly second time.

I give Mayweather props for appreciating that Whitaker Pryor's style would give him issues. I personally feel that Whitaker WOULD beat him, not could.

I put Pryor up there with Frazier when it comes to being relentless.

Although I really like PBF and his skills are 2nd to no one,
Aaron Pryor beats everyone at 140.
Pryor was an animal, also fast and difficult to hit.
The main thing that impresses about Pryor was that he was absolutely at home in the ring --- loved to fight.
PBF would have a difficult time putting a dent in an Aaron Pryor who I think would win convincingly if they had ever fought when both in their primes.

Pryor would be Floyd's worst nightmare. The ref would have to rescue the Pretty Boy late on. No amount of sweet footwork or swift potshots or shoulder rolls would hold off the Hawk as the fight reached the business end. Pryor naturally too big, too relentless, too ferocious.

I happen to think Pryor is vastly overrated, PBF UD.
