Rigo has better control of range. He will always stay out of range and then counter as soon as his opponent gets in before they can eve get off. Mayweather also has great control of range but he mixes it up more, he can get in range and cover up, slip, roll and duck to avoid the punches. I don't see anyone closing down Rigo at that weight though, too much power to simply come forward and make it a phone booth fight.

Rigo can't walk anybody down or move foreward at all....just like Lara.
The Cubans only have one gear....reverse.

You can't stand in front of Floyd and do nothing the way Agbeko did with Rigo...he'll bring your hands down with his bodyjab....Rigo doesn't know anything about that.

    Who is casey:lol:

Rigo didn't walk Donaire down...what fight did you see??

Floyd can use is bodyjab to make a fighter drop his hands...Rigo just stood there looking at Agbeko.

    Mayweather > Rigo

    This thread is laughable.

Take a look at their pro CVs.

Rigo is clearly a very skilled boxer, but he's not better than Mayweather. Have a ****ing work with yourselves.

Rigo is great but he is a Southpaw which is a huge huge huge advantage. Most guys just look like crap against them. Even Southpaws struggle with other Southpaws. Its alot easier for Rigo than it is for Floyd. Its by far the biggest advantage in boxing. Rigo's great but he wouldnt look as brilliant if he wasnt a Southpaw and likewise, if Floyd was a Southpaw then he would seem darn near unbeatable

i agree rigo is skilled but cmon... who has he fought.. Donaire? lmfao look at donaires last fight. Hes washed and either way was never any good anyways was just hyped up. Other then donaire rigo never fought anyone noteworthy. People saying rigo has more power then mayweather are just dumb. Mayweathers power at sfw wasn't bad at all imo . When rigo moves up in weight and takes on bigger and better fights we can discuss , but atm , not at all. If anything I would only compete him for #3/2 p4p spots with his skills but mayweather is #1. The difference is mayweather can stand there and still can't hit him clean. + any1 saying rigo has a better chin should just stop watching boxing. Mans hiding more glass then amir khan. Donaire landed one good shot all night and it dropped him. He got dropped like 3 times in his 13 fights couple to trash competition. Put him against that other gold medalist vasyl or w/e that guy is . Thatll be a good test for both fighters to show what they really have against good competition. I think anyone with decent speed and power can dispatch of rigo though, thats just me. For me thought i enjoy watching him and hes #3 p4p in front of bradley.

Floyd is obviously among the most skilled boxers in the sport, but some of you guys make it out like he has absolutely no flaws and even make up some "flaws" for Rigo, there's absolutely no need for that. Then you start the usual talk about "resume" like Rigondeaux has something to prove. He doesn't have anything to prove, not a single thing. If anything, it's Mayweather who never encountered an elite Cuban style in his career, and Rigo is the very best product of that school. He made a so called "top 3 p4p" Donaire look like a rookie. He made him look so bad that even the loudest "Donaire is gonna knock the Cuban out" talkers asked themselves if Nonito was ever that good. What else do you want?

The thing is, Mayweather sometimes needs to adjust, because the things aren't working very well at some point, and that is usually when he is able to rely on the superior speed over his opponents, or some major hole in the opponent's game. And that's not because his opponents are more skilled than him, but because they come with some "gameplan" that works for a short time until Floyd figures them out.

Rigo doesn't need to adjust because his style usually gives him an advantage over everyone else, and he is more skilled than everybody else as well. He controls the distance just perfectly and his movement is nothing like you could ever see while watching Floyd fight. If you look the coordination, range control and balance, purely for the technical aspect of view, nobody has it better the Rigo, not even Loma, Floyd or anyone else. It didn't matter if he fought amateur world champion, Donaire, Agbeko or some unknown fighter, at the end of the day, they all looked the same, helpless and without a solution. And you don't see that in Mayweather's case. Congratulations to Floyd on his skills, there's no question he's the most skilled at his weight, but honestly I've seen more talented and skilled guys than him, and I've probably never seen someone more skilled and talented than Rigo.
