Incorrect. I was comparing Kessler's comp. to Calzaghe's, and using that to illustrate a point about Mayweather and Jones.
Why the hell not? I don't see how you could definatively say that one has better hand speed than the other. It's close enough where you could make an argument for either fighter.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL3RKcoW_Xw Check out this video. This is only Floyd's 6th fight. The handspeed displayed here is ridiculous. The guy he's fighting is a lefty. Floyd hits him with several straight right leads that you'll miss if you blink. Anyone who tells me that Roy has hand speed that is clearly better than Floyd's is crazy. He finishes the guy off with two straight rights followed by a quick left hook and another straight right. That takes crazy hand speed to pull of this combo as fast fluidly as Floyd does.
:huh But you replied to a post about Jones' comp, not Calzaghe's. Look: Originally Posted by ChampionsForever This content is protected Then you said: See.

Man, that RJJ video just reaffirms my belief that no one in the history of boxing could've beaten RJJ in his prime. The guy was just a freak of nature in terms of incredible physical talents. PBF is talented but RJJ was just blessed with gifts that you see once every 20 years or so. Zab Judah has just as much raw talent as PBF but he just doesn't know how to use it right. But RJJ was just on another level.
I really didn't feel like explaining myself, but I guess I should. The guy I responded to said that Roy was a better p4p fighter than Floyd because he was, in his opinion, more dominant. Now, these guys will never fight eachother so this is pure speculation. Kessler and Calzaghe have fought eachother so I used them a parralell to Floyd and Roy. Kessler plays the role of Jones and Calzaghe plays the role of Floyd. Kessler was more dominant over his competition than Calzaghe. However, Calzaghe fought the better competiton. Despite Kessler being the more dominant fighter, he lost. My point, just because fighter A is more dominant than fighter B, doesn't mean that fighter A is better than fighter B.
Well....I guess the message trail was a little 'cloudy', since it looked more like you responded to a post about Jones' comp with a reply about Kesslers. My bad.
