Sugar Ray Leonard wins. He's bigger naturally, faster (hand and foot, not reflexes) and hits harder. Floyd had more raw skill though.

Floyd hasn't got the work rate, offensive arsenal or power to beat Ray Leonard. If Ray turned up in this era boxing fans wouldn't believe what they were seeing. He would toy with and wreck the fvcking lot of them.

SRL is a horrible style match up for Mayweather. The whole fab 4 give him major major problems.

In my opinion Leonard had the height, reach, speed and most importantly great left jab to outpoint a back foot dominant Philly shell style fighter like Floyd. He was also the bigger man.

People need to realise that Mayweather was no defensive genius when younger and more attack minded. Later on in his career when he became a safety first pot shot artist he was great defensivley.

Leonard beats any version of Mayweather, Floyd would be in survival mode from the opening bell. Leonard showed he could solve the style, the only question is would Mayweather see the final bell.

TBE does not need to lobby for himself. The fact that he is doing so tells everthing

On a side note SRL started the whole thing and shouldn't have given Floyd the opportunity to get attention. Has only himself to blame.

Mayweather is certainly not midlevel. But Leonard is the best fighter I have seen since I started watching boxing in about '74. He would have beaten Floyd up, but its a good fight.

Floyd ducked his way through his career and is no way TBE. I thought a completely faded Pac outpuched FMJ in their fight - a light jab is not equal to a powershot. Floyd also eked out razor close decisions in many of his fights, some of which were extremely questionable, eg Castillo, DLH, Maidana.

Floyd nuthuggers are blind and I bet you that most of them dislike Loma. Figure out why they do.

    Agreed.

ODLH fought him to a SD, SRL would make him obsolete imo. No disrespect to Floyd, just acknowledging SRL level, a credit to him.

Floyd was definitely the best of his generation. The 90's and 80's just better.

No Floyd, the best FIGHT the best... Undefeated records are usually a sign that something is awry, which is certainly the case with the latter half of your career. Leonard beat Hagler, Hearn and Duran THE best of his era at their best. Leonard takes a steaming **** on self proclaimed "TBE" career.

Floyd Mayweather vindicated his family (father & uncle)

TBE is surely "better off" than JCC or SRL

I am not sure that everybody lists Mayweather higher than them on the ATG list. However, the 50-0-0-0 & the only boxer to retire at 50-0-0-0, so a lot of experts will put Mayweather ahead of SRL or JCC. If you favor numeric evidence, Floyd is definitely better than SRL or JCC

I think any of the Fab 4 beat Mayweather. Leonard was substantially better than PBF and never cherrypicked his way to a 50-0 record by fighting debut boxers and over-the-hill fighters. He also didn't run around with a custom collection of IV's and saline drips in the trunk of his car.
