    Put up a POLL!

I'd pick Leonard by UD, maybe possible TKO late rounds.
If we're talking prime vs prime, Leonard is bigger, stronger than Floyd, very aggressive to handle and he's pretty fast too.
Mayweather is good, but not that good.

    please qualify this statement.

because the only obvious advantage i see pbf enjoying is speed.

Benitez was easily the better Welterweight than Floyd, who has looked well below ATG level at WW. His prime days were at 130, since then he's dropped off, especially at Welter. Benitez was bigger, stronger, more powerful, and better defensively than Floyd, who was also pretty much relegated to being a counter-puncher like Benitez at WW because of his size. Benitez was the better of the two at that game, and even better of the ropes than Floyd as well.

Also, Benitez/Leonard was not close at all how I scored it. I'd have had Leonard winning by about 11 points were it not stopped, which gives Leonard the even more impressive victory. Supposedly Benitez was not at his best though, considering he was supposed to have trained very little, such as in a week or two's notice, though I doubt it, since he had 15 round stamina. Leonard just put on a masterclass that night, and Floyd would've fared no better, if even as good. Floyd might survive over 12, but over 15 he's toast.

Floyd is just not that good at welter, he is clearly fighting out of his best weight.

A bit of an unfair matchup...I think Leonard never allows it to get all that close and I would to pick him to stop Floyd in a 15 rounder.

Honestly when Floyd left 130 his dominance starting waning...I never saw a repeat of the Corrales masterclass.

Stopping is not out of the question.

Floyd pretty much shut up shop against Castillo in both fights at some point.

In a 15 rounder SRL would be doing this a lot earlier and tagging him a lot cleaner.

He was clearly bothered by a faded De La Hoya, he just went through the motions and was unimaginative against Baldomir and was beaten to punch early in the fight by Judah..If Zab wasnt a 4 round fighter, that fight might have ended up being close.

I still dont think he even looked that great against Hatton, who Im not that high on and who's form at welter has not been good.

Really he has only faced one true Welter in Baldomir and he is as average as you can get.

He's faced mediocre opposition at WW, and been taken close by an old Oscar at JMW. He just hasn't been nearly as effective at WW as he was at lower weights, particularly 130. No way he competes with the greats at WW.

i agree that hatton gave him endless trouble in the first 3 rounds of that fight, hatton lost his head then and PBF picked him off..... shame really, better mental strength and hatton had a chance!!

Leonard KO or UD....if he wants to box, he'll win every round on points, if he wants to square off, he'll drop him....

Leonard UD. Floyd would make it competitive, but Leonard would still win by a fairly comfortable margin.
