tyson was in a league of his own when he was the champ...only a marriage and a bad training camp coulda taken him out....o my bad i think it did!
With Tyson you never knew what you were going to get, the unexpected is what people paid for. Tyson had that "It" factor that I can only think of maybe a handful of fighters had. I dont know about any of you guys, but when Tyson fought I remember exactly where I was and how pumped up I felt when he came out for his ring walk. I guess it also didn't hurt that my dad was a Tyson fan and it was our way of bonding in a sense. Floyd is a great boxer, and is a joy to watch box. That being said, theirs only so much excitement you feel when Mayweather fights, and other than the Hatton fight, it's rare you see an edge of your seat type of match with him. Tyson all the way for me.
depends, mayweather is like any fighter in that his fight can be exciting or boring regardless of how many rounds it goes. his fights with DLH and Hatton were reasonably excitingly, more so the latter, baldomir though is the cliched example of mayweather's boring fights having said that, I respect Mayweather's courage in the ring, mental fortitude, ring smarts and ring generalship more than I respect Tyson's otherworldly feats of physical strength and speed, but Tyson was more fascinating because he was a train wreck waiting to happen
Wow...not one negative comment in this thread...that's beautiful! But i wanna see the skills and the defense...Mike Tyson probably could've had a more stellar career in MMA especially when he was younger. But if i'm paying $50 it should last more than 2-3 rounds.
