Mayweather was able to beat Canelo and De La Hoya who I both see in the same class as these fighters.Cotto who was also very good. Could he have replicated those great wins against these other three arguably great fighters?

I think Vargas would make it a fight like Cotto did but it would be even tougher. Trinidad may have a tough time getting going against Mayweather's defense but would keep Floyd on defense and make it a close fight. Wright is really hard to picture as he wouldn't have to be on defense like he was in many of his big fight.

When Mayweather fought Miguel Cotto, he clearly did not train as hard or as much as he should have. You could tell from how he physically looked compared to his fight before and after. Also, he said he had the cold or flu at the time which also would have effected his performance.

I think wright would have the hardest style for may weather to overcome.
If he fought the three I see him losing one, maybe against wright, and another thing is these three are really big compare too anyone he fought.
Prime Trinidad @ 154 would be a real dangerous fight.
Vernon forest is also one fighter I see as doing well against may weather.

prime for prime all 3 beat floyd. cotto started at 140 and was never the #1 guy in any division he fought in. dlh was quite past prime when he fought floyd so neither of these guys faced floyd at a level the other 3 would bring in their prime. they are too big and too good for floyd.

Canelo is now better than Vargas and Trnidad in their primes.

None of them would be able to solve Floyd`s defense.

floyds best defense was avoiding fights, so if you mean they wouldnt know how to get him in the ring before they got old, then yeah.

You don`t think Floyd was hard to hit?! His stats for landing and not being landed on are the best since stats were collected far better than anyone else mentioned in this thread even Winky.

Cotto worked the body well and it disrupte Floyd`s focus, allowing Cotto to land to the head often.

Hey, Cotto was a very good world class fighter, a lock for the Boxing Hall of Fame. Yes, Cotto did good in that fight because he is Cotto, a top level fighter with all his accomplishments. Cotto has earned respect.

With that said, Floyd Mayweather could have made things a little easier for himself by training at a level that Cotto deserves. The cold/flu Floyd could not have prepared for I guess.

Vargas would be the easiest to solve, Wright the hardest. Wright schooled Trinidad 12-0, Mosley 10-2 and 9-3 in rematch, he beat Vargas 7-5 but was robbed. He's skilled southpaw with GREAT jab
