His more judge-pleasing style? Yeah, I guess waiting on the ropes throwing single shots, losing early rounds to adapt to guys like Judah and Hatton, low workrate, etc makes for a great impression with the judges. Much more pleasing than this: [YT]-ynGnpGgwCw[/YT]
I'll throw him a bone... Floyd Mayweather Jr. by SD Mayweather Jr. would represent the fastest hand's Whitaker ever had to face in a prize fight. PBF also has a great defensive style which COULD make Pernell switch to a different tactic, Welterweight Pea would often be more flat footed in an attempt to put more on his shot's than he did at the lower weight's. [To compinsate for loss of speed?] If Mayweather can make Pea fight him on his terms. Then I give PBF a shot Why not. Just playin' Devil's Advocate.
Floyd SD. Floyd more power, better technical defense, matches Pea in speed, intelligence and ring generalship. Very pretty fight to watch.
Mayweather takes this fight. Mayweather is a better offensive fighter than Whitaker. They would both put on an impressive defense display, but Mayweather definetely has the offensive edge & him being such a mental mastermind, he makes his offensive advantage happen for him. Mayweather wins by UD.
Dude that is true, Mayweather is/was a better offensive fighter then Pea. I dont know who would have won that fight, it would have been boring as hell, maybe 100 punches landed in the entire fightatsch
147 is a **** weight to have the fight at 135 or 140 is better, whitaker would have humiliated floyd in any fight
I dont know about that. Whitaker averaged 60 punches per round, Floyd only 40. While Floyd did have the better connect percentage, it wasnt by that much considering again, Whitaker threw 60 punches per round. However, Floyd did have more power, and a better defense. Lest not forget Whitaker was actually dropped by Mayweathers uncle Roger in their fight, and that was an epic brawl if I ever saw one.
