Mayweather Vs Williams at 154 for the RING JMW title!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by suicide booth, Jan 9, 2010.

  1. Yeah? This would be a great fight...no reason Mayweather couldn't be fighting at 154 now. I think Floyd would believe he can win this..would polish of his resume very nicely in the absence of a win over Pacquiao. Payday's not brilliant but either is any of the other options out there.

    What say you?

This is something i will (and many million more) pay to see. I can still see Floyd winning, mainly because PW's last fight ain't impressive.

It will get him near Pac's resume with a few more quality fights too.

Too much risk, too little reward for it to happen, in my opinion.

I do think the fight would draw more than Mayweather/Hatton in England though.

  4. I back Floyd to win this. Dislike as much as I do I'll still back him to win this.

PTP is the only available and legitimate option for Floyd. Sadly, it probably won't happen.

Not really, I'd be happy with LTP, Martinez, Foreman (seriously), Cotto, Margarito upon his return, Clottey, Dzinziruk, and a few others.

They all mine as well be unavailable

Foreman, Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey are all TR fighters..(need I say more)

Dzinziruk is a complete unknown outside of hardcore fans.

Martinez would be a solid scrap but he seems to have 160lb aspirations now.

Oh I would LOVE to see that fight. It wouldn't be for the Ring title because Floyd isn't even ranked at Jr. Middleweight. I would rather see it at welterweight. Do not hold your breath for that fight to ever happen though. Floyd won't even fight the smaller welterweights.

Its either Berto if he wins, or Hatton...Mathew that is. I dont see anyone else "elite" enough or PPV worthy to fight FLoyd.

If Mayweather wouldn't fight Williams at 147, he certainly won't do it at 154.

Disillusioned is probably too strong a word, but I've taken a blow the past few days concerning my love of boxing. A fight like this would help restore it, but I doubt, like most of you, that it will even be seriously considered by the Mayweather camp.

if he fights williams at 154 he surpasses pac's smokescreen of a resume
