why wouldn't floyd fight williams? I like both fighters but Paul doesn't use his height properly. His punch output is ridiculous but time and time again mayweather tends to take fighters away from the game plan. Paul can countered at will. Can paul land clean blows inside mayweather's defensive manouvers. I think the fight may be real b/c mayweather right now other than retiring, or fighting a nobody, has no other viable option.

 

No sources needed. Even Floyd's biggest supporters know this would never happen. You may as well said "Floyd vs Wladimir Klitschko March 20"... because Floyd fighting Paul Williams is just as unlikely as that matchup.

Since Floyd originally asked Pac to fight at 154lbs, he realized that the only blockbuster fight he has is fighting PW at 154lbs. Floyd will show to the world that he is a man of his word and that he is really planning to campaign at 154lbs and that is why his weight demand on his fight with Pac was at 154lbs. Floyd will show to the world that he has balls of steel.

My thoughts is that FMJ will never fight PW @ 154. Catchweight of 150 maybe and that's a big "maybe".
