true. It is like saying Floyd has a problem with southpaws. I mean he does a little, but he has less trouble with them than most fighters. **** Paul Williams lost 3 times to them
Its not so much the punch, its defense technique.. The thing is you can catch him with this sort of punch, but not something you can regularly exploit. Part of the shoulder roll defense is countering right hands. That you can catch him off guard with a looping right hand now and then isn't a ***** in that armor, its just a lucky shot and not something you will be able to count on, or land consistently through a fight with the guy.. Mayweather seems to have a great chin, seems very durable, so you probably want something to put in the bank against him. The only thing Mayweather really leaves out there is a right to the body. The thing is sinking the punch relies on him squaring up and exposing his body, he does this when he is looking to counter a cross to the head.. Nobody takes advantage of this opening but it's the only one I can see that is usually available to exploit. Very odd punch for an orthodox fighter to set up, and maybe thats why nobody does it, but its there. When Mayweather squares up he turns his body and leaves his left flank open. Looping right is the correct punch, but its the looping right to the body when he's looking to counter a right to the head.
Sorry I don't believe this. Ortiz is being blown up to think he has one punch KO power since moving up to 147 which he does not. Ortiz beat a questionable champion in berto with questionable chin, who I think loss because he make far to many mistakes and relies on his athleticism bail him out. If Ortiz goes into this fight thinking he can KO floyd, He's getting KOed. I seriously doubt Ortiz hits harder then Shane or oscar and I seriously doubt he is as strong as a 160lb carlos baldimir. Ortiz is really blowin his own horn far too much these days.
