I've heard Richard Schaefer claim that he discussed this with Mosley and DLH and that DLH and Schaefer let Mosley have first dips on a Mayweather fight, and Mosley said no, Oscar could fight Floyd.

I don't believe that though. Mayweather-DLH was the mega fight to be made in the sport and became the biggest fight ever in terms of money.

Whatever, the past is the past. They're fighting now and you can argue it's more meaningful now. After Mosley beat Vargas the 2nd time, he had mostly been campaigning at 154 (with a couple of over-the-limit WW bouts), and Mayweather was merely a belt-holder at 147. Now it's a fight between the former lineal WW champ in Mayweather and the man with perhaps the strongest claim now to being #1 at WW in Mosley, who's coming off the 2nd best win of his career.

What happened in 2006 doesn't matter much now but I'm sure it'll be brought up in 24/7 to add some drama to the build-up.

 

Money May is gonna whoop is @ss come May 1st anyway. Just wait and see. It's gonna be a landslide. So don't say he runs and he doesn't fight exciting. All smack talk.
