Shane Mosley can't deal with boxers he has no footwork has no jab and can't stop a jab to save his life. You think becasue he beat a limited and flawed guy like Margo who stands in front of you slow who plods that he will beat a master defensive counter-puncher like PBF? Hell Cotto out boxed his ass and PBF is 2x the boxer that Cotto is. Mosley has lost to almost every good boxer he's faced, Winky 2x Forrest 2x. The guy is really nothing more than a slugger with fast hands that's really it. If he fights PBF he won't be able to stay with him he doesn't have the footwork. What the hell does this have to do with Mayweather wanting no part of Mosley?

 

Beating an undefeated Ricky Hatton with a solid 10th round KO doesn't count as punctuating a win? GTFO!
Plus, like many others have said, Mosley is looking for a big payday in the twilight of his career. Mayweather should fight the winner of Pac-Cotto.

 

Floyd would definitely be favored to beat Mosley. But it still is a great match-up nonetheless. They should fight and if Mayweather would beat Mosley he would get a lot of credit. In fact, it would be his biggest victory.

 

Jab Judah at the time that Mayweather fought him was a legit welterweight with speed, quickness, reflexes, power, even decent defense.

Go rewatch that fight. Judah was winning the fight up to rd 3. By that time Mayweather had measured Judah's, power, speed, timing and rhythm and whooped his ass the rest of the fight and made him have to resort to a cheap low blow.

Mayweather can adapt to any style, any speed, any power, any defense. Thats what makes him so special. He was just born to do it and has put in the training in the gym to match his natural talent.

He is the ideal combo of natural talent and work ethic.

Now let me ask what top quality opponent has Mosley fought with the combo of speed, quickness, reflexes, power, defense of a Mayweather or even a Judah.

Margarito, Mayoraga, Cotto, Collazo, Vargas, Cruz, Estrada, Wright, De La Hoya, Marquez, Forrest are his last 11 fighters fought

The only one there with any type of qualtiy hand speed is Cotto and he isn't on the Mayweather or Judah level.

Maybe I should use the Mayweather critics logic and state he is scared to fight guys like that and has only hand picked guys with lesser hand speed then him.

What happends when Mosley isn't the faster fighter in the fight. He has been able to get away with keeping his hands down to his chest, because he hasn't fought guys with top notch hand speed. Even vs fighting guys slower then him he still has been tagged by tons of jabs to the face. When he faces a guy like Mayweather with his type of hand speed, with his type of jab and lead right and Mosley's lack of defense it over.

Mosley is going to try and press Mayweather and tire himself out and Mayweather is then going to go to work on rearranging his face. Or Mosley will try and take his time vs Mayweather and Mayweather is going to kill him with jabs and lead rights.
