Mayweather wants the fight more than Pacquiao does

The same can be said for Manny. Did he walk away from the fight first? Yes or No

 

i agree. he knows he cant be who he wants to be without beating manny. trouble is, his heart doesnt obey what his mind is trying to convince it to do.

 

Do you have selective memory or something? Pac was on a deadline to fight that March because of his upcoming elections. They went as far as they could go with Floyd and he never wanted to meet in the middle at 14 days or so. They waited for Floyd to respond until the last minute, which never happened, so they went with the next best available WW at the time in Clottey.

 

Floyd NEEDS the fight more than Manny does.

But he's nervous about the outcome since he has more riding on it than Manny.

Therefore, he has put roadblocks in its way.

Manny is fine with fighting Floyd, and equally fine if he doesn't.


And Floyd has lost the PR battle on this issue, both in the boxing world and with the general public.

Floyd isn't fighting anyone at all right now, and since the Hatton fight back in 2007 has fought twice period, once against blown-up Lightweight Marquez(in a fight where Floyd lied to everyone about making the weight on TV) and a shot Shane Mosley. He's said that with or without the tests, Pacquiao is "easy work" but apparently not easy enough. Even if he never fought Pacquiao, Floyd could show his greatness and try to trump Pacquiao by fighting Sergio Martinez or at least keep pace with Pacquiao by fighting someone like Ortiz, Bradley, etc. Nothing. Floyd does not want to fight at all, and Pacquiao is making fights, which tells you all you need to know. I'm not thrilled with Pacquiao's last few opponents but it's unquestionably better than what Floyd is doing at present.

I agree. Pacquiao seems that he wouldn't mind not fighting Floyd, and doesn't seem eager to get it done. For a guy who 'fights for the fans', I find that to be quite contrary.
