Mayweather was going to win and was winning easily at that point

ODLH, Judah, Corley and even Mosley were somewhat competitive Ortiz was NOT competitive at all, he was getting outclassed which is why he fought dirty, Floyd put this dirty POS out of his misery.

Hell ya. EMMANUEL STEWART, floyd nuthugger, even said Ortiz was getting closer. Of course Floyd kills him in clean punches landed. We all knew that was going to happen most rounds if the fight kept going. Round 4 shows Ortiz landing the most shots of any round for him. Floyd can land 100 shots, it only takes 1 good shot from Ortiz on Floyd to end the fight. The point was ortiz was getting closer and closer and roughing him up on the ropes like we haven't seen anyone do. It only takes one punch for a power puncher like Ortiz to change and end a fight.

Steward is 67 years old and was sitting at a close vantage point but was still as susceptible as anyone to being fooled by big flurries that are almost entirely blocked/slipped/rolled with - especially when he has Lampley inches away driving his blood pressure through the roof and screeching in his ear "ORTISSS ISSS RIPPPPPPING MAYWEATHER ON THE ROPESSSS!!! :ibutt Errrrr...wait, actually Mayweather is blocking about all of those ...but boy, did that get the crowd fired up!"

The body shots weren't any heavier than the ones Oscar landed when he had Mayweather on the ropes. Oscar was wise enough to throw to the body almost exclusively in those moments, while Ortiz jacked up his miss rate and sent his connect percentage down the toilet by headhunting with those useless straight flurries.

Good job avoiding the question. You gonna go all gangstar on me like Floyd does when answering questions exposing truth?

I actually watched that Oscar/mayweather fight today. Ortiz's body punches had a lot more behind them, especially those weak ones oscar was throwin on the ropes vs. Mayweather, which were just for show for the judges.
I was surprised Floyd didn't throw any sucker punches at Oscar actually.

    Mayweather's chin > Ortiz's chin. By infinite.

Your submission that Ortiz was causing any concern with his power or getting "closer and closer" is bunkum. Pure wishful thinking. He was as close in round four as he was in round one - miles away.

Hell, Ortiz could probably take a pair of free shots identical to the "sucker punches" he got KTFO by and not knock Mayweather out.

Not really. In that last frenetic flurry before the butt, Ortiz threw maybe 8 shots, but only the first one landed cleanly, and even that didn't phase Floyd at all. Floyd was just playing it safe & letting Ortiz get tired, looking for a counterpunch. He was in complete control.

    - That's probably why Ortiz then let his head fly. He was frustrated that his best effort had been completely ineffective.

    :patsch:patsch:patsch

roughing Mayweather more then hes used too??? mayweather has been in there with the best, Ortiz wasnt doing anything new.

The reason why he started using his head was because he couldnt hit floyd and was getting mad just like Judah did. at least Judah had some balls and didnt get pissed till the 10th round before he did something. Ortiz went off in the 4th, he knew he was getting KO

I really didnt see a competive fight in there. I was actually kinda shocked on just how much Mayweather was beating up ortiz so early in the fight. I figured ortiz would do good in the first 4 then wilt.... but Mayweather had him in check from the get go in my opinion.

And ortiz wasnt 'coming on', he simply went on the offensive like he was doing in spurts.... and he landed like, one punch out of all the ones he threw.

Ortiz was on his way to getting stopped, imo.

Floyd doesn't have a great chin. He is great at avoiding flush contact on the chin. We really don't know what kinda chin he has seeing as nobody other than old man mosley has tested it yet. Well I guess Zab knocked him down
