I don't know why mods deleted this thread... (If your a mod tell me please why this thread was deleted and why there are stars for "boxing scene")
RUMORS WERE TRUE! Rumors were that Mayweather had a left wrist injury twittered by some boxing dude. Also rumors were that he was sick. He sounded sick in most of his fight hype interviews blowing a lot of snot. I guess he didn't want to admit it pre-fight to not give any advantage to Cotto.

"Training camp was tremendous, I was just mad that I couldn't box the last week because I was kind of sick and my hand was hurting. The last week my hand was hurting bad. I was letting my hand heal, I was icing my hand for the last week every day. Things happen like that in the sport. I sucked it up and went out there and did what I had to do," Mayweather said.
"I probably got it from sparring, hitting these guys. Even with it hurting, I still boxed with it. Even with it hurt I said I don't care, that's a part of my job. I'm here to impress everyone. You can't cry or complain or nothing like that. You just suck it up like a true champion and go out there and be a warrior."

Does Floyd's win impress you even more? Does this not mean anything to you? How much of a factor was this in the fight? Small or big? Any real differences if he was never injured or sick? Thoughts.

Doesn't even matter, he doesn't need these excuses because he put on an impressive performance either way

I'm pretty sure "excuses" can also be called "reasons". You never really know if it actually is an excuse or a reason especially if your injured AND sick right before a huge fight. I'm not saying this is a reason but I'm saying it surely should have some impact.

Same old story, same sand thrown on people's eyes to cover up the lows of a fight.

ESPN had reported that Mayweather sounded congested during the final presser. When asked PBF responded that he had just woken up. There were heavy rumors that Floyd hurt his hand in sparring and wasn't using it much for the 3 weeks and that he cut the last 4 days of sparring out. It's not new news. The guy has 70 people in his GYM watching him train. This stuff leaks.
